Summary: Part 2 of our Nightmare on Elm Street retrospective series... It was a great experience to revisit this classic franchise again with a fresh perspective. The argument may be made that the series of sequels which followed the 1984 original failed to reach the same heights in terms of quality and effectiveness. With that in mind however we give fair consideration to Part 2: Freddy's Revenge, Part 3: Dream Warriors and Part 4: The Dream Master. It may have been a void few wanted filled but we spend a solid 30 minutes dissecting Part 2 and theorizing over the potential subtexts to be found. So this week we offer an in-depth look at the first 3 sequels. We approached this retrospective from the viewpoint that all listeners have seen this series of films but....please be aware the films are discussed in their entirety and as such the plots are thoroughly spoiled.
