Napoleon said that the word «impossible» was not in his vocabulary.  But we will include this word in our vocabulary :). This Episode will introduce you not only the word «impossible», but also the phrases: «It’s possible» and «It’s impossible». Moreover, you will learn how to say «yes» or «no» in Russian. Now see how we write and pronounce these words and phrases: «It’s possible» - «Это возможно» (EH-tuh vuhz-mOHzh-nuh); «It’s impossible» - «Это невозможно» (EH-tuh  nye-vuhz-mOHzh-nuh); «yes» - «да» (dUH); «no» - «нет» (nYEt). In this Episode you will learn how to say «Monday» in Russian and a very famous Russian phrase about this day of the week, the meaning of which is «Monday is a hard day». «Понедельник» (puh-nye-dYEl’-neek) is «Monday» in Russian. «Monday is a hard day» sounds like (puh-nye-dYEl’-neek tye-zhOH-ly-y dYEn’) «понедельник - тяжёлый день». Are you a positive person or a realist? :) In any case, you should know how to say «I’m happy!» in Russian. «I’m happy» in Russian is «Я рада» (ya rUH-duh) or «Я рад» (ya rUHt). Usually we say why we are happy: «I’m happy that…». In Russian it is «Я рада, что…» (ya rUH-duh shtOH) or «Я рад, что…» (ya rUHt shtOH). To understand what the difference is, listen to the Episode. One of them is «Вы» (vy) and the other one is «ты» (ty) (listen to Episode 9). Quite often Russians start communicating, using «Вы» (vy), but then they move to «ты» (ty). The phrase you need to say to do that is: Давайте перейдём на «ты» (Duh-vUHy- tye pye-rye- y-dYOm nuh ty). To learn how it sounds and what it really means listen to this Episode.
