Ezra

Summary: After decades of exile and bondage, the time finally came for Israel's restoration. The Lord was determined to send a remnant back to Jerusalem, and He equipped the people for the difficult task of rebuilding Jerusalem. In the book of Ezra, we learn that the Lord's restoration began with a renewing of His word and covenant with the people of Israel. In Nehemiah, we watch as a leader is appointed to rebuild the city wall. In both stories, we discover there is an even more important work taking place in the hearts of God's people.
