 Weekend Breakfast | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 38:07

A weekend breakfast is the best opportunity to set the tone for the rest of your weekend day. You don't have to rush to scrape together some yogurt or bagel excuse for a meal. You have time for eggs. Hell, you probably even have time for an omelet, french toast or frittata. This mix will help you relax while treating yourself to one of life's best, yet most simple pleasures. This 38-minute mix starts off with some soft european pop ballads that make waking up easy. The latter part of the mix provides a little momentum for when your coffee or tea kicks in, courtesy of some slower deep house and dub-influenced rhythms. 1. Saint Etienne - Late Morning 2. Air - La Femme D'Argent 3. Nouvelle Vague - Love Will Tear Us Apart 4. Angelillo Et Hamel - Je Veux Te Dire Une Chanson 5. Saint Etienne - Woodcabin 6. Kings Of Convenience - I Don't Know What I Can Save You From (Royksopp Remix) 7. Lianne La Havas - Lost and Found (Maya Jane Coles Remix) 8. Til Von Stein & Aera - Dynamite 9. Appleblim & Geiom - Shreds 10. Mey & Floyd Lavine - Ms Cooper (Nocturnal Sunshine Remix) The best way to listen to Occasion Vibration is to subscribe via iTunes. If you've never subscribed to a podcast before, I've posted instructions here. Related: My manager's wife has written a book on the history of breakfast that will be released in May. Looking forward to some historical context for my favorite meal.

 New Year’s Eve | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 1:20:12

Going out on New Years Eve is a gamble. A big night out on the town might seem like the only way to quench your thirst for countdown excitement, but then reality bites back in the form of long lines, steep covers, excessive boozing, drunk drivers and room full of unrealistic expectations. Staying in is the wise move, but you don't want to squander an opportunity to party with friends on a night most can stay out late. Solution: you invite the peeps to your place and play this mix starting at exactly 11pm. Exactly one hour later, a countdown finishes and you'll find yourself in a state of retro-infused-dancing-bliss. There's something in this mix for everyone as long as you like house, r&b, disco or house. This mix includes many of my favorite dance tracks from 2012 as well as some tried and trusted favorites. Track List: Ernie - Soul Of The Night (Ordell Remix) Azealia Banks - 1991 Maya Jane Coles - Easier to Hide Madonna v. System of Survival - Baby, Don't Groove (Pedro Mahx Cut) Daft Punk - Face to Face Prince - I Wanna Be Your Lover Disclosure - Flow Todd Terje - Inspector Norse Benoit & Sergio - Walk & Talk Steffie - Yours feat.
