On a special joint episode of Cinema Royale and the Punch Drunk Podcast! Valentines Day weekend so you know what movie we'll be talking about, though I struggle to find the connection between BDSM and romance....guess I'm not with it anymore, that's right ladies and gentleman it's finally time to talk about 50 Shades of Grey. Happy New Year! Cinema Royale is kicking 2015 off right with a huge show! First off, my homie up north Christopher Bumbray joins me to talk about the latest film from Paul Thomas Anderson, the drugged-out detective comedy Inherent Vice! Plus it all ends here for Liam Neeson in Taken 3! Plus, with the incredible Martin Luther King Jr. film Selma expanding into more theaters, Cinema Royale is joined by writer/director Ava DuVernay and star David Oyelowo to talk about the making of this important civil rights drama.  

On the final Cinema Royale of 2014, we end the year with one amazing show! As the awards season kicks into full swing we'll look at two of the year's biggest films. Ava DuVernay's Selma has been earning accolades for her direction and the performance of star David Oyelowo as Martin Luther King, Jr, but is it the Oscar contender some have pegged it to be? And Peter Jackson wraps up his second Tolkien trilogy with The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies! Slate brings her raw brand of stand-up comedy to the film about an upstart comedian who loses her boyfriend, her job, and discovers she's pregnant all just in time for Valentine's Day.

Cinema Royale's Travis Hopson reviews Trust Me, written, directed, and starring Clark Gregg of Marvel's Agents of SHIELD and The Avengers. The film also stars Saxon Sharbino, Amanda Peet, Sam Rockwell, Felicity Huffman, Allison Janney, Molly Shannon, and Paul Sparks. PLOT: A struggling agent for child actors and former child star himself, Howard Holloway spends years losing his most talented clients to his slick, arch-nemesis Aldo Shocklee.
