Our MFAD Special Event with Omar Vulpinari from Fabrica was held last Saturday. Students from MFAD, MFA Interaction and MFA Fine Arts attended, along with some MFAD faculty members.
Robert Fabricant, Executive Creative Director at Frog Design, was the last speaker in our first semester Guest Lecture Series. He eloquently promoted “engagement” with audience and client as essential in current design practice, enabling what he calls “the designer as interpreter” of social needs.
Pete Favat speaks to today to MFAD first year students. Favat is best known for his American Legacy Foundation work, the 45-year-old CCO of Arnold in Boston often directs many of the powerful TRUTH anti-smoking spots, and has also directed a MTV documentary, “I Can’t Breathe,” which followed a woman dying of a smoking-related disease.
