In this episode, I talk about themed decks I own and the pros and cons of getting and using them. Don't forget to send me feedback at feedback@tarot.com or at http://thetarotcorner.net.
I did a reading comparing and contrasting the two Presidential candidates shortly before the election. Considering how things turned out, it's really very intruiging!
I'll talk about other divination methods you can use with the Tarot to enhance or supplement your readings, some personal readings I've done recently, and a new Talkback question that needs your response!
I'll talk briefly about how things like lighting, music and incense can affect your readings and your Tarot practice. I'll also highlight a new spread I found, and a helpful site you should check out.
Within Tarot cards are spiritual themes of a journey, death and rebirth, loss and fortune, generosity and greed, and many more. One can simply meditate on what the cards mean to them. Also, spiritual does not have to mean "religious." Card-a-Day One common practice is to pull one card a day and reflect on it during the day to center and ground yourself. I do this myself and it sometimes has surprising results! This, like many other practices, can be done no matter what your path is. Decks Pagan path - Robin Wood's Tarot, decks featuring fairies. Rider-Waite - rich with Christian imagery, which might be a problem for some people. These images just speak to me. Choosing a deck can be a spiritual exercise as well. Talkback question: What practices (Tarot or not) help you on your spiritual path? You don't have to reveal what your path is, or any personal info if you don't want to. For some, this is an intensely private matter. To participate, e-mail tarotcorner@gmail.com.
I talk about my take on relationship spreads and questions, and spotlight some spreads I've found useful.
I'll give my humble opinion about intuition and what it has to do with the Tarot.
I'll talk about the element of air, an a unique spread that deals with assertiveness that I developed.
This is just a short announcement of my new website and blogs. There's a new episode coming next week.
I'll talk about the element of earth, why it's special to me, what gratitude has to do with the Tarot, and other awesome things!
I'll talk about the element of water, how it relates to intuition, a fun spread I came up with, and whatever else you'd like to talk about.
I talk about the element of Fire, how it relates to the Tarot, and how I use it with the cards.
Despite some technical difficulties, I let you in on a little tarot reading I did about this podcast using a spread developed by James Wanless for his Voyager tarot deck. My friend Emily stopped by and we actually had a conversation!
I'll briefly cover the history of Tarot, how I got started, and why a picture really IS worth a thousand words!
I'll highlight a couple cards that tend to freak people out when they come up in a reading. I'll also attempt to tie in once more to my favorite show, "Lost," by discussing my ideas for a Lost-themed deck, and possibly a live demonstration of a reading for myself using a spread I made especially for it. If you want a reading, call in or e-mail me at tarotcorner@gmail.com!
