The Tour Bus Music Show – Episode# 28 – Interview and Music with The Wheeler Brothers
Summary: T. Mic and I interviewed the members of Wheeler Brothers outside in Gonzales, LA. It was a beautiful Saturday morning and we were outside on the patio of a coffee shop, sitting around a table chit chatting like we’ve known them for years. They are a wonderful, talented and personable group. The five-piece act composed of Austin natives combines the gutsy indie vibe of the modern central Texas music scene with the longing strains of time-honored Texas folk. Brothers Nolan, Tyler and Patrick Wheeler met Danny Matthews at LSU where they spent their afternoons picking guitars and swapping stories in the bar rooms of Baton Rouge and New Orleans. When the brothers went back home, that’s when they added the rest of the band. In this episode we go into detail with the guys about what makes the band tick and what goes into in creating the unique Wheeler Brothers sound. We’ll also play several tracks from their album Portraits.
