Introducing “Charlando con Cody’s Cuentos”

Cody's Cuentos show

Summary: Cody’s Cuentos is running a special series of podcasts this summer called “Charlando con Cody’s Cuentos." The series will consist of short interviews in Spanish with kids from Spain. As some of you may already know, I’m an English teacher in a bilingual school in Madrid and I’ve been fortunate to teach some great children. At the end of the 2009-2010 school year, I asked a few of my students if they’d be willing to speak to me in Spanish about their hobbies and interests. So, during these summer months I’m going to podcast these interviews. In a couple of instances, the kids will do a story reading in Spanish. Some of you who live outside of Spain may wonder how come there aren’t any photos of my students on the blog during this series. In Spain, parents are more sensitive and anxious about posting photos of minors online and schools have strict rules against it. While it would’ve been nice for Cody’s Cuentos listeners to have a face to go with the voices of my students, it really isn’t necessary. So that’s why you won’t see any photos of the kids who participated in this project on this blog. In any case, I hope you enjoy these interviews. Also, if you enjoy listening to the audio cuentos, I will continue to post a few new stories throughout these summer months as well. Be sure to subscribe to this podcast via iTunes or Google. It’s free and also the fastest and easiest way to get all the new episodes delivered to your inbox as soon as I post them online. R: Me encanta. E: Hmm, me alegro.
