Here they have a discussion with American Airlines' 12-year chief safety officer, Scott Griffith. Although not involved in any particular field of EMS or medical service, Scott was part of the community of aviation leaders that developed the "Just Culture" concept which refers to notions of justice that is how to be fair and consistent in how we respond to human beings who work in high risk industry such as EMS. Later on in the discussion, they were joined by prehospital researcher Blair Baygum and EMS 10 award winner Daniel Patterson of University of Pittsburgh. They highlight what they thought was important for EMS safety and patient safety.  They packaged that presentation in a set of myths and provide some data to dispel those myths and also provided a frame of reference for some of the data that exist out there that characterizes one or more attributes of safety culture in EMS versus other settings. They gave the audience basically a frame of reference of where EMS might be and where EMS might want to go.
