Episode 76- Loren Fjord- Strength, Parkour traceur and natural movement coach

Rik's Mind Podcast show

Summary: Today we are once again joined by our friend Loren Fjord. If you haven't caught our last episode with Loren, Loren’s time as a youth wasn’t spent playing team sports, but rather filled my days (and nights) vaulting fences, climbing trees, running from neighborhood dogs, jumping off rooftops, and getting into that which would, on the surface, be considered “mischief.” Parkour provided Fjord with a legitimate framework to pursue and foster his natural human abilities to walk, run, jump, crawl, roll, climb, and balance outside of conventional sports. Movement helped Fjord build a sense of self-confidence and a unique and tangible relationship with my capabilities based on truth rather than frivolous and arbitrary metrics so commonly applied today. Loren works with hundreds of amazing humans from children as young as 6 to adults in their 70s, from all backgrounds and walks of life, testing varied approaches to reverse movement dysfunction and gain strength, flexibility and new skills to improve overall physical literacy. Fjord also holds a B.S. in Kinesiology and Nutrition from Oregon State University. Loren owns and operates HumanWild. HumanWild is an education platform designed to help you achieve movement freedom. The cross discipline program is woven together to help anyone bring their body into balance for optimal strength, range and skill development. Loren is offering a free 30 min coaching consult and 25% off your first month to any listeners of the RMP if you mention our show when you contact and sign up for Loren’s training programs.
