Safe At Home, Safe At Work, Safe At School with Sabrina Osso

At A Crossroads with The Naked Podcaster show

Summary: I come from violence; my father beat my mother on a regular basis. Eventually, I moved out and fulfilled my dream of becoming a dancer. I created my 1-woman show, “Home Sweet Home?”. I play different women being abused and then she goes to her good place, that’s where the dancing comes in but then she is pulled back into the terror of being abused once again. The show ends very strong, very empowering. Extensive research was done for the show and I couldn’t believe the alarming statistics. I decided to make this into a business and Osso Safe was born. I wanted to provide products and services that can really positively impact people's lives, whether they are going through violence or not. My personal and professional experience with the subject allows me to bring a unique and holistic approach by combining education and technology to promote safety and prevent violence in the workplace, schools, and in particular, in places of residence. Since I am also a professional dancer/teacher, I use my performance abilities to educate on the subject. A struggle is that we absolutely cannot solve the magnitude of this problem by treating this as a charity, as a nonprofit. Victims neither need pity nor handouts. They need solutions, they need resolution, which is why we focus on 3 markets: schools, workplaces, and residences. Our approach is indeed a practice and I am bridging the real estate industry with Osso Safe. In doing so, this will change the face of residency, where safety/nonviolence will become a required standard condition of residency. Period. This is good for business, good for residency. Abuse should not be a part of anyone’s residency, ever. Just Because You Are A Parent, It Doesn’t Give You The Right To Abuse Your Child. The Osso Safe approach to diminishing and preventing home violence in schools, workplaces, and properties, focuses on the fact that this is indeed a practice. There is a direct connection between violence and pornography. The “legal” system makes horrible matters even worse, in that, it does what is in the worst interest of the abused child versus what is in the best interest of the abused child. An example of what constitutes a good relationship is to allow your kids to vent when they are upset and then speak to them as calmly as possible; this is both healing for the child and the parent. We would also like to focus on Osso Safe's vision for the prevention of home violence and the real estate industry.
