Episode 489: Top Summer Movies of 2000-2004

The Deucecast Movie Show show

Summary: The summer is half over, and the summer series is rounding the corner toward the homestretch (that's a baseball metaphor for you folks out there).  Mikey and Dave, again sans #TwitterlessDrEarl, take up the mantle of more summer cinema, this time the best from Memorial Day to Labor Day of 2000 to 2004, and the guys bring back Miss Independent himself Jeremy Burgess to the show. After catching up with The Burgeler (new reality show premiered this Fall on ABC), they play a little 2000s themed Rotten Tomatoes game, with the possible first time mention of "Shark Tale" ever on the podcast (and maybe the first time since the early 2000s anyone has thought of it), then onto the Top Five. Nic Cage and Costner both make random appearances, and Spielberg films about airports and pre-cognitions also show up. Plus, the lower of the Mission Impossibles, Jamie Foxx and his Collateral, the beginning of the super hero era, Harry Potter shows up, Nicole Kidman's classics, Jay and Silent Bob go after their MoFo movie check, and the Black Pearl.  And Dougray Scott. Or Doogray, as it may be.
