Summary: <p>We have touched upon the importance of communication and open dialogue in quite a few of our past episodes. In this episode, we decided to talk about it specifically and so we invited a professional linguist, Professor Tiffany Dyson (@tiffetzjiff) to inform the conversation.</p> <p>Tiffany shares some of the knowledge she has gained about communication through the language research in which she is involved as well as through her personal life experiences and travels. She also compares some of the notable differences in communication that exist between the United States, Korea, and Germany.</p> <p>Throughout this discussion, we were learning about the impact of the environment on our language, our vocabulary, and even our personalities. It was all very entertaining and informative, but then… something went wrong. Somehow, the conversation suddenly shifted (as they often seem to do) towards the topic of relationships. More precisely, open relationships.
