My Miscarriage Story

Career Mom show

Summary: October is a month that has taken on a new meaning for me over the last several years, actually since 2016. It was October 2016 when I became pregnant for the first time and that pregnancy ended in a miscarriage. October is also National Pregnancy and Infant Loss Awareness Month with October 15th being National Pregnancy and Infant Loss Awareness Day on October 15. October is still my favorite month, my birthday is in October which means I’m required to love fall so we are in my favorite season and while each year I get excited for those things I also tend to think more about the baby I never had.  1 in 4 women experience miscarriage, but I think it means nothing unless you actually KNOW another 1 in 4. I hope my story can help you feel less alone or feel validated in sharing some of my feelings about my experience. Miscarriage is isolating and you shouldn't have to do it alone.
