Summary: Bayer-Monsanto's covert operations to protect its products and silence opposition   Carey Gillam is an environmental and agricultural journalist and investigative reporter who has been traveling around the nation for years to observe and report on the state of America's food system, farming and meeting with US regulators, lawmakers, scientists and corporate officials. She is the Research Director of US Right to Know, a non profit consumer organization devoted to exposing the truth about industrial agriculture, the threats of pesticides and GMOs and exposing Big Agriculture's corruption. Earlier, Carey was a Reuters journalist for 17 years. She has been invited by the European Parliament to address a council about Monsanto and Roundup when the EU deliberated on whether or not to ban Monsanto's glyphosate herbicide. Carey's important book "Whitewash: The Story of a Weedkiller, Cancer and the Corruption of Science" has recently been released in paperback.
