We talk about what it means to be an ally to marginalized communities here in the United States, as well as white privilege, anti-Semitism, feminism, and Monique’s international work fighting against gender-based violence by creating change for women who are uniquely vulnerable to exploitation as they seek asylum. We also learn a little about Monique’s childhood growing up in New Orleans, Louisiana as a descendent of Holocaust survivors.
