Gamers With Children show

Summary: Greetings internet. It has been some time since we released a podcast for your listening pleasure. As we mentioned early on, sometimes life will find a way to interrupt our release schedule. Holidays, family, work, school, you get the idea. Since our last release many things have happened but we are going to focus on a small section of them this week. We start the show talking to you about Mayfair Games Karnickel. Karnickel is a quirky little game that doesnt take long to grasp, a point we enjoyed after some of our more trying reviews. Simply put you are a rabbit running from a train. The object is to be the first player to collect 7 carrots. This is accomplished by rolling a set of colored dice and choosing the pieces to move. We go into more detail on the call but suffice it to say, we enjoyed this game. It is playable in short sessions of 15-20 minutes depending on the number of players. Playable by up to 4 players. We get lost on a few other tangents and Matt lets us know about Theres a Moose in the House. This small card game is something new and Ill let Matt tell you more about it during the call. You will hear out outro followed by some music but dont shut us off well be back. Matt and I have recently watched the entire series of Chuck and are looking to discuss it. We try to do a good job about discussing Chuck, without spoilers however, be warned. We dont give away any major plot developments but just a heads up. Im sad that I didnt catch Chuck when it was being aired originally however, I was happy I got to consume the entire series in a matter of days. Some of the cliffhangers are intense and I couldnt imagine having to wait a week or even a summer to find out what happened next. We also talk briefly about the star of Chuck, Zachary Levis newest endevaour, IWantMyNerdHQ. IWantMyNerdHQ is a crowd funding opportuinty over at IndieGoGo to fund his conference NerdHQ which takes place along side San Diego Comic Con. This conference is entirely free and play host to many panels, signing opportunities, photo ops, tech demos, gaming demonstrations, and anything else nerdy they can get their hands on. This is a terrific opportunity to help fund whether you can donate $5 or $500 they welcome any and all donations. One of the best parts about this convention is it is all in support of Operation Smile! So sit back and give a listen to our show. If you want to chime in on your thoughts about Karnickel, NerdHQ, Chuck, or anything else we discuss on this or any other episode, feel free to drop us an email @ podcast@gamerswithchildren.com, Follow us on Twitter @GamersWChildren, or find us on Facebook. andnbsp; andnbsp;
