Summary: Reon Schutte has become an international inspirational speaker following his release after 13 years in one of the world’s most renown and brutal prisons according to many international human rights organizations – the Chikurburi Prison in Zimbabwe. At the age of 18, Reon was a member of the South Africa Special Forces and specialized in cross border raids – having fought in 13 countries before being captured while on a rescue mission in Zimbabwe. For the next 13 years he was imprisoned under a threat by Zimbabwe President Robert Mugabe that he would die in prison. Today Reon travels the world speaking about the most basic moral principles of freedom, the power of our personal choice, perseverance against the worst of odds and forgiveness and acceptance that he experienced in Chikurburi Prison. He is also the author of recent book about his spiritual lessons: Set Yourself Free: Breaking Out of Your Personal Prison through the Power of Choice.
