Liberty Conspiracy - 1-9-14 A Conversation with Guest Darryl Perry!

Liberty Conspiracy show

Summary: Welcome back to the Conspiracy for freedom! In this program, we welcome fellow conspirator Darryl Perry, whose work to promote the principles of liberty is remarkable and we hope to promote! In the conversation, Gardner Goldsmith and Darryl discuss the idea of so-called "Intellectual Property", the place of the state in defending so-called ownership claims to ideas, and many other subjects. They delve into the NSA meta-data spying program, Ed Snowden's work, the double-standards of Rand Paul, and how similar some Americans' are to North Korean citizens when it comes to their devotion to the state. This is a great conversation, and we thank Darryl for all his time! We also hope you will spread the word about the show! Send out a link, tweet about us, whatever you like! Music in the show includes a sample of the new Silversun Pickups song "Cannibal", "Punk Rocker" by Iggy Pop and the Teddy Bears, "I'm Afraid of Americans" by David Bowie (who just celebrated a birthday!), "Thunder in the Sky" by the Dirtbombs, and the epic "It Goes On" by The Psychedelic Furs! (Listen to the way they bring in each instrument during the bridge and the way they use the speed-up effect on the sax as that section of the song ends. Also, note the anti-political lyrics: "You know this guy that lives downstairs has Parties all the time, where they put on whigs and stuff so they can be themselves. He calls you this and calls you that. You lose your memory. All this goes on all the time, so I don't go down there." Awesome...
