Angels have the ability to know, love and have power over matter, but they have no parts, size or shape. Angels can place images into man's imagination. However it is not only good angels that can place images, the Devil can also place images so we must never pray for images to be placed into our head, as we are inviting the demonic. Pope Leo XIII had a vision where Satan boasted to Jesus that he could destroy the Church if he had more power and more time (about 75 to 100 years). Jesus agreed to give Satan the time and power to do this. As a result of this vision Pope Leo XIII created the Saint Michael prayer.
