No one could deny the benefits of divine reproofs—those corrections from God that we read of in Scripture. God loves those He disciplines (Heb. 12:5-6); His reproofs give evidence to His love. The same could be said of human reproofs, especially those that come from within our families. How valuable those words of correction from our parents in our growing-up years!
