Summary: January 27, 2011 How many people live in your town? Half of those people, conservatively speaking, are not reliable for their safety in deep water. What, exactly, would it take to teach that half of your town to swim? It would take a new paradigm. It would take a shift in priorities. On our last show on January 27, we'll talk about the proposal I sent to Shreveport, Louisiana, the city that had 6 teens drown at a barbecue before their parents' eyes. It's a plan to teach every last citizen to swim. It means more than "swimming lessons as usual." If every town adopted this plan, we could end drowning in less than 6 years in your town if its population is 200,000 or less. We'll wrap this 14-week run with the real reason to teach and learn swimming.
