Episode 5.37 - Featuring Julian Melchiori

A Foot In The Crease show

Summary: This week on AFITC, we kick off our coverage of the Stanley Cup Finals between the Chicago Blackhawks and the Philadelphia Flyers with a look back at a wild and crazy game one. Before that though, the Redline Report kicks off with Leaf Notes with news on the signing of a defenseman, the progress of contract talks with Nik Kulemin and the potential of a new member to the front office. Later Quick Hits wraps the segment with news on Steve Yzerman, Jiri Hudler, Adam Foote, Jiri Tlusty and the sites for two outdoor games in 2011. Brendan Smith, one of our first player guests on the program back in season two, signed a three year deal with the Detroit Red Wings this past week. In On The Bubble, we’ll play back part of a conversation he had with Dave shortly after signing the deal. Of course Listener Contributions follow from Email and Twitter. To conclude, in our continuing series of prospect interviews, we welcome Newmarket Hurricanes defenseman Julian Melchiori to the program. And finally, rigamarole wraps the show with a look at the potential ratings boondoggle the Stanley Cup Finals could be for the NHL. Finally, after a five day layoff, the Finals are underway and now, so too are we right here on Episode 5.37 of AFITC. Big thanks to Julian Melchiori for joining us on the program this week!
