A Foot In The Crease show

Summary: The summer hiatus has come to an end! We’re back to start the engine on another season of A Foot In The Crease.  Kicking off Season Seven today, we check in first with the Toronto Maple Leafs. Most of the cuts have been made leaving just a handful of battles for spots on the third and fourth lines and the back end of the defense. We’ll tell you who should stay, who should go and how much stake should be put in preseason performances.  Mike Komesarik has a no movement clause – surprising considering a statement made by Brian Burke at his Leafs introductory press conference. This means Komesarik likely starts the year with the Leafs regardless of if he’s outplayed by one of the youngsters vying for a spot on the blueline. We’ll explore this situation further before spinning through the Revolving Door with some injury updates to wrap Leafs Notes.  New NHL disciplinarian Brendan Shanahan has been a busy guy handing out six suspensions already. Has the punishment been accurate? We’ll give our thoughts to wrap the Redline Report. Back Checking brings your voice to the show with some great Listener Contributions from email and twitter.  Closing the show is Rigamarole as we pay tribute to Wade Belak, a former guest on our show, who passed away tragically this summer. This is Episode 7.1 of AFITC.
