 Throwback Thursday | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 01:08:45

Hosts: Quan, Dee Dee, Fraronda, Auri, & O.G Givers, Takers, Askers, Matchers, and Oh it’s Strategic Too. On this week’s episode, each of these is discussed by the crew. Placing themselves and one another in each of these categories, this conversation takes another deep dive into who the PPP crew is and how they operate. It isn’t always easy being a giver and sometimes it’s hard to recognize when that’s not all you are. But part of being in a healthy relationship and setting healthy boundaries is knowing what you need and don’t need to be able to function in whatever capacity necessary. This week the crew discusses all of that and how it shows up in their own friend group. They also take some time to think about how they could potentially do and be better for one another to make things work a little better. As usual, while they are so very similar in most things, they have vastly different ways of showing up even if they all can call themselves givers. But at the end of the day, they accept one another, flaws and all, and deal with what they have to deal with to keep the friendship flame alive and burning. Make sure to tune into this week’s episode to get into the nitty-gritty of things and be entertained by the functioning dysfunction that is the Perfect People Podcast Crew!    Like, Comment, Review, Subscribe and 5 Star Rate Want to join the conversation?  Coping | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 01:01:08

Hosts: Dee Dee, Fraronda, Auri, & O.G  Coping through tough situations is something that we all must do at some point in time in life. Whether it be from a relationship, death, financial hardships, etc., there comes a time when we have to do what we can to move through the situations that life will inevitably throw our way. How we cope says a lot about us but it is also very dependent on our life experiences. We all know there are healthy and unhealthy ways of coping, and it becomes a choice for each of us which path we will decide to take. The old adage, when you know better, you do better, begins to ring loudly when thinking about the varying shifts that may happen in how we cope as we grow older and wiser. In this episode, the crew explores those facets, giving their take on how they would cope in unconventional relationship curveballs and moving to how they cope through the death of loved ones. As always, we bring our own unique perspectives and different vantage points to the conversation, with there being some disagreement on exactly how we should cope through some situations. OG, lays her very personal feelings out there, and we give our take and opinion, and the conversation simply flows from there.  Whats Your Type? | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 01:12:57

Hosts: Dee Dee, Fraronda, Auri, & O.G We all have our fathers when it comes to most things in life. Light skin, dark skin, thick, skinny, tall, short, can dress, is able to pass. All of that matters until it doesn’t. According to the hosts of the Perfect People Podcast, what you thought you wanted is not always what you end up with and that is not at all a terrible thing. Then on the flip side simply settling because there seems to be no other option is not the business at all. So, what’s the balance between standards and the superficial. Does it all really matter or are we just out here frivolously deciding on things that at the end of the day won’t really matter in the grand scheme of things. But, no matter how much we tell ourselves to relax and let go, there has to be a bar, and that’s ok, too. Figuring out where to compromise and where to hold firm is the name of the game. In this episode, the hosts explore their own types, how they have evolved, how they have remained the same, and what exactly they have gotten out of the deal in the end. Check out this episode for a glimpse into their types and how they have all come to be!  Want to join the conversation? Email us at perfectpeoplepodcast@gmail.com

As you know we are highly opinionated people with a whole lot of preferences, and this episode is no different.  Gender Roles...Past or Present? | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 00:57:59

Hosts: Quan, Dee Dee, Fraronda, Auri, & O.G No matter how progressive the times, gender roles will forever be part of the conversation when deciding who is responsible for what in relationships. In this episode of the Perfect People Podcast, the crew discusses what their ideal roles consist of within their relationships. Some thoughts are traditional and some defy tradition, but whatever the case it is apparent that the more things change the more things stay the same. Even in non-traditional relationships, there inevitably comes a point both through discussion and naturally where things fall into place, and people are tasked and expected to perform certain duties to keep the relationship moving forward. From finances to who will take out the trash, it all has to be decided, and because the crew is made up of a married couple, a same-sex couple, and single people, as any listener can imagine, idealism and reality often do not converge. Auriel aka Auri being representative of the married couple talks a lot about communication being key, and Dee Dee speaks about there needing to not be such rigidity in the willingness to do things because roles can and should change depending on what is going on within the relationship. No matter where a person falls on the gender roles spectrum, at the end of the day, for there to be a healthy and thriving relationship, everyone has to pull their weight and if things change, it is important to have the conversation to make the necessary adjustments as to keep moving forward in the relationship.  Like, Comment, Review, Subscribe and 5 Star Rate Want to join the conversation?  I Know You .........I Think | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 01:16:13

Hosts: Quan, Dee Dee, Fraronda, Auri, & O.G Really and truly knowing someone can potentially be one of the hardest things to do in this day and time. Between all of the competing priorities that is life and all of the outside factors that can get in the way, getting to know someone can sometimes be daunting and feeling like you know someone can feel impossible. From the starter question of, is it possible to really know someone, to the last question of what do you do with that knowledge as people continue to evolve and even sometimes reinvent themselves. The crew has the conversation around how they have experienced getting to know people and being later disappointed when they found out that person was simply their representative, and even further, knowing someone and handling the disappointment of them becoming someone they did not expect by staying stagnate or digressing rather than progressing. Because of these experiences, they hold their friendships with one another very dear and have also decided that there will probably be no additions because people just simply cannot be trusted. It’s hard! But there is sometimes a great reward when the decision is made to take the risk. Loving people, liking people, and being with people means accepting flaws and all, right? But what if the flaw was unexpected and was not part of the get to know you stage. Do you stay or do you go? Tune in and see which of the flaws are not acceptable for the Perfect People Podcast Crew and which ones they may be willing to stay around and help their loved ones through. Because at the end of the day, knowing someone does not necessarily mean, you know every single thing about them. Which, then brings back the question, can you truly know someone?  Exclusivity...To Be or Not | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 00:48:27

Hosts: Quan, Dee Dee, Fraronda, Auri, & O.G Exclusivity seems to be one of the hardest and yet most sought-after concepts in the world. With there being so many perspectives, so many possibilities, and so many directions, who can ever really for real figure it out. Even in the midst of the conversation with the crew, there is plenty of variances and in some areas, not even a consensus. Different strokes for different folks! But one thing that permeated throughout the conversation was that there has to be communication. The breakdown and heartbreak come when partners are simply not on the same page. The conversation is scary and sometimes even seems impossible because who isn’t afraid of rejection! But at the end of the day, for a relationship to be a relationship and not serial dating or a situationship, someone has to be willing to have the conversation. Check out this episode to see where the crew lands in their thinking around exclusivity. But first, can we even say the word right?!  Like, Comment, Review, Subscribe and 5 Star Rate Want to join the conversation? Email us at perfectpeoplepodcast@gmail.com
