As 2022 comes to an end, we wanted to take the time to look back at the year that was with a little awards show.  This also happens to be our 250th episode, which is wild.  In this episode, Jamie and I reveal some Top 4 lists of 2022 that we came up with; categories include favorite sequels, worst characters, favorite interviews, and more. This was a year that had us cover one of the Mt. Rushmore of sequels in Aliens, but also had some bottom-of-the-barrel sequels along the way.  Having said that no matter which one of the 23 sequels we covered this year, we had a blast reviewing them, whether it was just me and Jamie or one of our amazing guest reviewers.  I was also lucky enough to interview so many people I have admired throughout my sequel-loving life that includes a legendary vicious boss, Hollywood's go-to Bug Wrangler, another Jason Voorhees victim, stunt artists, directors, script supervisor, special effects, and more.  Thanks for being a part of 2022 and look forward to providing even more entertainment in 2023. This week we are talking "Freddy's Dead: The Final Nightmare" which is another sequel that set out to be the last (but not really).  This movie had a lot for us to discuss like the confusion of when they are dreaming vs when they are awake, the lack of deaths, the creepy carnival, the recovery shelter that looked like it was abandoned, and more.  No matter if you liked this movie or not, we can all agree that Robert Englund knocks it out of the park.   This was a blast to discuss. This week we are talking about "Halloween: Resurrection" which is the perfect way to celebrate Halloween, even though it's not the best installment.  This movie had a lot to discuss and we brought back Nick Sbordone to help us out.  We discussed the reality theme used in the movie, the quick kills, Dangertainment, Henry Rowengartner, Tyra Banks, and more.  Happy Halloween! This week we are talking about "Exorcist II" which is known to be one of the worst sequels of all time by movie lovers and they are right!  This movie marks the 2nd sequel we covered of Oscar-winner, the late-great Louise Fletcher which didn't end up too well, the other being Grizzly II.  This movie was so bad that we brought in a friend of the podcast Peter, who has a podcast called Fan2Fan (which we guested on earlier in the year and talked sequels).  Peter helped us discuss why crutches are good for putting out fires, James Earl Jones dressed like a locust, a very awkward scene, the odd extras playing in the background of scenes, and lots more.   This is a video review you can watch at sequelsonly.com/Exorcist2 Check out Pete's Fan2Fan Podcast at https://linktr.ee/Fan2Fan The next sequel that will be discussed is Halloween Resurrection.
