96.) Adirondack Camping and Campfires: Rules & Regulations | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 1471

In this special-edition episode I decided it was finally time to dedicate a show solely to informing listeners of the rules and regulations regarding camping and campfires in the Adirondack Park. Often there is confusion and a slight ignorance regarding the regulations and I hope to lay those to rest with this episode. Take a listen and see how many of the regulations you already knew and take note of the ones you didn't know.At the end of the episode I will announce the winners of the 46 of 46 200K Giveaway!  92.) Summit Sessions #27: The Brazilian With Snowshoes with Liz Bacelar | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 4553

In this episode of the Summit Sessions I finally get to share Liz Bacelar's amazing story of becoming an Adirondack 46'er in nine months. Like so many in 2020 the Covid shutdown drastically changed Liz's professional career and life and during that time on a whim she sought out nature and climbed Mt Marcy and the Adirondack Mountains did what the Adirondack Mountains do; captured her heart and completely changed her life forever. Liz's journey from the high-end fashion industry of New York City to climbing High Peaks in the dead of winter in a few short months time is an inspiring story and Liz is the definition of seeking refuge in nature and from there the mountains will do the rest.  89.) Summit Sessions #26: Small Town Monsters in the Adirondacks with Filmmaker Seth Breedlove | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 4224

In this unique Summit Session I have the privilege of speaking to director and filmmaker, Seth Breedlove, of Small Town Monsters, to discuss his latest film entitled "On the Trail of Bigfoot: The Journey" which came out this week. If you've followed this podcast long enough you'll know I thoroughly enjoy two things; the Adirondacks and Bigfoot, and this documentary combines those two things. Seth and his crew shot their latest film primarily in the Adirondack Park as they searched for Bigfoot and answers to "if a creature of this nature does exist, it would likely be in a place like the Adirondacks". In this episode Jonathan Zaharek stops by the studio and we chat with Seth about his new film, what brought him to the ADK for the film, and his love for the Adirondack Park. This was a fun conversation.Check out Seth's company and films at www.SmallTownMonsters.com or rent/purchase the film on Amazon Prime, iTunes, Vudu, and more.

88.) Summit Sessions Spotlight: Paddling Ohio's Maumee River with Paul Fuzinski | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 1253

In this new Summit Session Spotlight I'll shine the light on another person who got creative with the outdoors right in their own backyard. This week's spotlight is on Paul Fuzinski, host of the Aptitude Outdoors Podcast, who decided to paddle the 137-mile Maumee River from end to end simply because "he could". Not because it was some sought after local accomplishment to achieve but simply to do something fun and different in the outdoors right in his home state. All it takes is a little creativity, and some will, to have an outdoors adventure wherever you call home.

87.) Summit Sessions #25: A Winter Thruhike of the Northville-Placid Trail with Tim & Henry Horvath | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 6221

Tim and Henry are accomplished hikers and we break down their trip from the planning, to the gear they brought, and go day by day through their incredible winter adventure across the Adirondack Park's most remote land.
