Summary: Tristan + Greg are a couple of 90s kids from down under, on a mission to re-watch every movie that meant something from their childhood. Each episode they review a 'classic' film from the 80s or 90s, and determine how it stacks up in the modern era. We use the term classic very loosely.

So in addition to the the usual origin story, plot and legacy breakdowns, we deep dive into all the rich little nuggets that this film provides, from Scatman Crothers and Ancient Indian Burial ground tropes to reappraisals of Shelly Duval's performance and the added lens we can now apply with Doctor Sleep.
179 - It's week two of our 3rd annual Halloween Spooktacular and we are going SLIGHTLY further back than usual with 1976's The Omen. in addition to all the usual pieces you have come to expect, we dive into 70s foods for some reason, as well share spooky stories from the 'cursed' production of The Omen (and other famous 'cursed' films), because Halloween.
178 - is spooky season let's gooooooooo! Our first spooktacular film of the season is found footage pioneer, The Blair Witch Project. This is an interesting one. Can an iconic and ground breaking film in from 1999 feel a little boring in 2022? Maybe... (maybe not).

Predator 2 is a fascinating pop-cultural artefact, a box office disappointment and critically panned at the time, it's easy to overlook in the Predator franchise, but what if.... it's freaking awesome?! 175 - Sequel September continues with Axle Foley and the gang and a kinda hard to follow plot, but jam-packed with Eddie Murphy magic nonetheless. So join us as we dive deep into this 80s classic and decide how it holds up in 2022.
174 - It's Sequel September and we are kicking it off with a bang! It's Back to the Future Part II, folks, what else do we need to say? Tune in for a deep dive on one of the most classic 80s sequels of all time.
173 - This one has been a long time coming, especially for our Aussie friends of the show. Now the bad news is that this doest seem to be streamable or rentable anywhere in the US currently, but I will say that this episode is safe from spoilers if you haven't seen the movie (it's not a very plot driven film) - so come along as we unpack the Mark 'Chopper' Read, the metamorphosis of Eric Bana and question whether Carlos Santana was the DJ Khaled of the early 2000s.
172 - It's been a while since we hit a non-action movie, so we decided to even it out all the violence of the past 10 weeks, with the magic of song - and Travolta - AND OLIVIA NEWTON-JOHN!! What a sweetheart. Join us as we dive into his film, and a quick dip into the TV show Renegade (for a reason that will make sense we promise)
171 - We have reached an interesting turning point in our JCVD journey. This film would be the last theatrically released Van Damage joint until 2008's JCVD. So into the valley we go.... BUT despite this film not really being a JC highlight, we find some pretty interesting things to dive into, from the Soprano's, to the epic love story that is JC x Gladys, and even a semi-deep dive into heavy metal band GWAR! So, you know, there is something for everybody here.
It's the final week of our miniseries 'Lat Pack: Past and Present', and what better way to close off the series than with the more modern take on the classic Lat Pack formula that is The Expendables? So join us as we dive into this all-star action movie and evaluate how it holds up through the lends of Lat Pack greatness!
