The Drum Brigade Podcast show

The Drum Brigade Podcast

Summary: The Drum Brigade Podcast is hosted by Korey Kingston and Funky Phil Pardell. It is a weekly talk show. This show is meant to be a little different than other drum podcasts you may have listened to. The Drum Brigade Podcast is meant to be a light hearted, fun show for the drum community. This podcast is not a "how did you get your start playing drums?" life story interview, tech tip- kind of show. It is however meant to be a "drum hang" show. So the Drum Brigade Podcast is just that; real drummers hanging out, chatting, drink coffee (or beer), talk about gigs, experiences from gigs/ or life in general, play drum games, venting cracking jokes, and more.

 The #Acceptance Podcast With Korey Kingston- Ep 5 #Association | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 00:51:37

The #Acceptance Podcast is meant to be a positive, motivational podcast hosted by drummer, musician, and owner of Drum Brigade- Korey Kingston based on his experiences through his years of touring, working in the music industry, and experiences as a business owner. Although this episode starts with a quote from The Bible, this is not meant to be a religious podcast. The #Acceptance Podcast is a slight diversion from The Drum Brigade Podcast in that it is more focused on the core values of Drum Brigade- #Acceptance, #Belonging, Camaraderie Over Competition, and The Brotherhood of Drummers, and growth mindset (specifically for musicians), but still with a few laughs.  The Drum Brigade Podcast Episode 94- Robby Not Bobby!- Cole Marcus | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 01:27:02

We're back for episode 94! Our guest this week is drummer/ actor Cole Marcus. Only a select few drummers can boast major TV show appearances, endorsements with well-known percussion manufacturers, and the admiration of more experienced peers. Even fewer can lay claim to this by the age of 4. Just out of High school, Cole Marcus had been impressing worldwide audiences and the entertainment industry with his amazing talent. His precocious drumming skills, songwriting, and vocal abilities have garnered appearances on countless TV and radio shows, not to mention feature articles in DrumPro, DRUM!, and Modern Drummer magazines. Cole's passion for the arts has developed him into a seasoned actor, where he has worked in feature films and several national TV commercials. At just three years-of-age, he was called up to the drum kit by the legendary Dave Weckl at one of his drum clinics. Cole proceeded to wow the audience and Weckl alike. By the age of four, Cole was offered endorsements with Mapex drums, Zildjian cymbals, Vic Firth Drumsticks, and had signed with BMI (Broadcast Music Inc.). This made him the youngest person to ever land an artist endorsement and the youngest songwriter in history to sign with BMI. Cole has since signed with DW/ PDP drums, D'Addario/Evans, and a myriad of other endorsements. A highlight of Cole's year is his annual appearance at the NAMM show, where many of these companies invite him to perform and sign autographs alongside the best drum Artists in the industry. Cole has also gone on to put his musical talents to work. He has composed music for his upcoming album, TV, Film & Soundtrack placement, and continues to headline concerts across internationally. Clearly, the pride of Cole's accomplishments at a young age is his humility and compassion. He recently returned from a tour in Japan benefiting handicapped children. Cole also donates his time annually to the Jonathan Jaques Celebrity Torch, where celebrities come together to celebrate the lives of children who have cancer or rare blood diseases, as well as other charities. 2018 marks a 15-Year Milestone in his young career, with an unprecedented accomplishment to have a 15-year long, professional international career under his belt at the age of only 19. Cole is inspired by every style of music and is continually progressing in his own unique style and abilities. His interpretation and phrasing are unparalleled and, like his drumming, are an inspiration to see and hear. His songwriting, arranging, and creativity defy his age.
