A social distancing experiment, with The Batchmaker | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 39:03

We're deep into stay-at-home orders and we have all the thoughts about it! We decided to experiment with our podcasting and see if we could include another (much beloved) guest on the show, and our friend Cris agreed to come on with us for a few minutes! Unfortunately, we had a snag in the audio and lost Cris about 10 minutes in, but we're so grateful to her for giving us the time of day when we know she's got a lot of other fish to fry. We're your biggest fans, Cris! If you'd like to help out the team over at the Batchhouse, head over to their Venmo and send a few bucks. Every little bit is so loved and appreciated!  Start with shame, then do checking in | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 50:53

We're checking in with the feels today as most of us are knee deep in social distancing and really missing out on friendships and communication. But we're not spending a lot of time on coronavirus today because 1) we don't want to and 2) we have bigger fish to fry! Maybe you heard a little story about one Taylor Swift? If you'd like to give your mind a break and decompress with some good things instead of the news. Current events are important, but so are boundaries. Head over here and subscribe to get a list of good things to scroll through in your inbox once a week. We have a brand new website!  You won’t believe the ending | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 43:13

We're here to lighten the mood, friends. It's been a rough 800 years this week, and we heard you when you said you wanted to think about anything other than a virus. So plug in your earbuds and take your mind off of it for a bit! Here's the article we talked about regarding Lady Gaga's new boyfriend.  I listen at 1.75, with Heather Garfield | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 1:10:07

We're sitting down with our friend and chief medical correspondent of the pod Heather Garfield to talk about when relationships go awry, the signs that shouldn't be ignored, and what friends and family on the outside looking in can do to help. You can hear more from Heather on Instagram @healthy.happy.heatherg. We have a brand new website! You can check it out to see previous episodes and catch up with our latest posts.  Are you a racist in a box, are you a racist wearing socks | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 1:07:22

A listener recently asked us to discuss our thoughts on manners, and we happily obliged! We also got into it about Love is Blind, The Man, and a few other items happening with women and the general public (*ahem* like a quick 5 seconds about politics). One thing we touched on was this article, which answers the question that we toss back and forth, which is "what do we do if we don't like the nominee?" The perspective here is on point. We also talked about this twitter thread, re: what happens if you voted for someone who then dropped out of the race. Similarly, here's a note from our own Senator Jeff Jackson supporting ranked voting, which would solve this problem moving forward. We have a brand new website!  Somewhere between PBS and Porn | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 56:54

This week we're finally announcing the thing that we've been working on for months: our brand new website! This has been a labor of love and it will grow in the next few months, but for now it's ready to see the light of day. Here's a few other things we wanted to link: This episode of Good Christian Fun is where Hannah got her book recommendation, and we both loved listening to it. Elizabeth Warren is accepting big-dollar campaign donors? Say it ain't so! (But should she have done it sooner?) Lularoe aint sh*t, and here are the receipts. Also on our chopping block: Chris Matthews and MSNBC. We have a brand new website! You can check it out to see previous episodes and catch up with our latest posts.  You’re doing enough | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 1:00:42

Happy Wednesday! It's mid-February, and we thought we'd just sit down and check in. How's it going? January was tough! And sometimes you need to air it out with your girlfriends. We're touching on the NBA All-Star weekend, the Primaries, our bff's over at Mattel (and their future on the big screen) and more. So tune in and relax and as always, let us know what you think.  If you want to get your panties in a bunch, start there. | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 1:08:59

If you didn't watch the Oscar's, don't worry because we're breaking it down today. Check out these performances by Janelle Monae and Idina Menzel that we have been obsessing over. We also can't get over this ad for postpartum care by Frida. Do better, ABC! Note: we read further and we now understand that supposedly any feminine hygiene commercial wouldn't be allowed to air during the Oscar's. It does not change our overall opinion that the policy is crap. Also: when we recorded this episode, Andrew Yang had not yet dropped out of the presidential race. Since then, he has dropped out and said he would consider a cabinet position with another candidate. Feel free to start coming to us for the hard-hitting news BEFORE it happens. Caroline took this quiz to find out that she's Bloomberg's #1 fan, and Hannah is constantly pushing this site on everyone so we can all find out who we should be voting for. Get to quizzing! One thing we love to do is revisit a topic that we feel like deserves more attention, and that's what we're doing this week. Last week we discussed the Super Bowl halftime show, and this week we're asking ourselves what the difference is between that performance and the Victoria's Secret Fashion show. As always, we have a lot of thoughts. You can check out our website to see previous episodes! What are your thoughts on this week's episode?  If I’m striving for something, I’m doing it wrong | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 55:58

We're breaking down the Super Bowl halftime show, the latest from the Harvey Weinstein trial, and of course Taylor Swift's Netflix documentary. All before we get into the idea that reaching your goals means that you'll achieve peak happiness in life. Surprisingly, football comes up quite a bit here too. Do you have a good balance with this?  It’s like we franchise | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 1:12:48

It's always a good idea to read, and today is book club day! We kicked off our first book of the year with a YA novel, and some of us may have only realized that during the recording of this episode. But before that: An unexpected tragedy shook the world this weekend when Kobe Bryant and his daughter, along with 7 other people, died in a helicopter crash. We get into this topic in the beginning, and talk a little bit about his legacy around the world and the complicated ways in which we view famous people, both during their life and after their death. We both send our deepest condolences to all of the people affected by this tragic event. It's always a good idea to reach out to loved ones, friends. Tomorrow isn't promised to any of us.  There’s too much to care about! | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 53:23

There's so much going on in the world, and now more than ever we're aware of all of it. Do you ever feel compassion fatigue? We do, and we need to talk about it. Plus, the SAG awards, the Queen's response to Harry and Meghan, and The NY Times Editorial Board's presidential picks are up for discussion. Stay tuned until the end to hear how Caroline learned the hard way that it's a good idea to pre-screen tv shows for the kids. You can check out our website to see previous episodes!  I hope this email finds you well | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 1:15:57

Caroline came prepared with a host of topics to discuss at the outset of our episode today, and you know one of them is Harry and Meghan. And then we're getting into arguments! With each other, with our significant others, with everyone! We're talking about how we move past the little things, the big things, and all the things in between.
