DJ Wagner and Aaron Bradshaw: Kentucky basketball recruiting rumors | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 1937

On today's episode of Locked On Kentucky, Lance Dawe takes a look at one of the bigger rumors on the basketball recruiting trail surrounding DJ Wagner and Aaron Bradshaw. It's been rumored that Bradshaw and Wagner want to play on different college teams, and if Kentucky wants their commitments, they will have to choose between the two. Lance dives into DJ Wagner's numbers and analysis and explains why he may be Kentucky's choice if the rumors are true. There are backup options if Bradshaw flakes. Kentucky's offense may finally become more modernized. Oscar Tshiebwe says he's going to take threes this season, and he's working on his outside shot. Lance explains that even though Tshiebwe is best served underneath the basket, the Wildcats will utilize his shooting well, easing him into sets in the non-conference slate. Speaking of the non-con schedule, eight teams have been added. Lance goes through the list and talks about the bigger matchups. Support Us By Supporting Our Sponsors!  Oscar Tshiebwe has added a three-point shot to his offensive game... this is huge | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 1530

On today's episode of Locked On Kentucky, Lance Dawe discusses Kentucky basketball's latest practice development: Center Oscar Tshiebwe shooting threes. In a recent interview, Tshiebwe said he will shoot threes this upcoming season and will continue to improve his handling and his outside shot. Coach John Calipari strongly approves. Lance explains why this is huge not just for the Wildcats but for Tshiebwe's NBA Draft stock. Five-star wing Justin Edwards has set his commitment date for July 25th, and Kentucky is in the running. The Wildcats have a need at small forward and Edwards would be a huge addition to a class that is developing some serious momentum. Aaron Bradshaw, a five-star center that is a massive Kentucky prospect, has pushed back his commitment date. Lance explains why Bradshaw may be stepping back and why DJ Wagner's recruitment could be involved. Support Us By Supporting Our Sponsors!  An overview of the state of Kentucky basketball, SEC basketball scheduling announced | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 1731

On today's episode of Locked On Kentucky, Lance Dawe takes a look at the current state of UK basketball. It's nowhere near as bad as some people might think. The Wildcats sustained a thee-year stretch without any postseason success due to cancellation, a historic down year, and an upset. Lance explains why Kentucky fans need to leave those seasons in the past and focus on the present. This year's roster is promising. Oscar Tshiebwe is back, and his supporting cast looks very solid. There are several guys who are on the verge of breakout years, and a handful of players that are capable of filling their role, being the cog in the machine that should challenge the SEC for the top spot this season. Looking ahead to the future, Kentucky is doing very well on the recruiting trail. They've already landed two five-star guards in Robert Dillingham and Reed Sheppard for 2023, and they're warm with guys like Aaron Bradshaw and DJ Wagner. The Wildcats are doing what they can to set up the future years well. The SEC basketball home and away games have been announced. Lance breaks down Kentuckys opponents and explains why he believes the Wildcats should have a pretty good go both at home and on the road. 15-3 or 14-4 is definitely on the table. Finally, Kentucky football brought in two new additions to their backfield. Former four-star linebacker/running back Dee Beckwith is a monster of a human being that should get serious touches early in the season if Chris Rodriguez is suspended. Sam Houston State transfer Ramon Jefferson ran for over a thousand yards with SHSU last season, earning FCS All-American honors. This backfield is crazy deep. Support Us By Supporting Our Sponsors!  TyTy Washington, Shaedon Sharpe first-round NBA Draft selections | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 1681

TyTy Washington went way too low. On today's episode of Locked On Kentucky, Lance Dawe breaks down Kentucky's two NBA draft selections in TyTy Washington and Shaedon Sharpe. Washington was selected 29th overall to the Houston Rockets. It's a solid pick for the Rockets, but TyTy's stock significantly dropped by at least a dozen picks because of concern over his mid-season injury with Kentucky. Lance explains what Washington's upside is in the NBA Shaedon Sharpe (the state of Kentucky's favorite player) went seventh overall to the Portland Trail Blazers. Lance touches on Sharpe's potential but goes in depth on what this pick means for Portland in both the short and long term. Five-star point guard Robert Dillingham commits today. Lance breaks down Dillingham's game and what he could provide to the Kentucky Wildcats if he were to commit. Support Us By Supporting Our Sponsors!  Kentucky basketball in the NBA Draft: Where Shaedon Sharpe, Tyty Washington will land | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 1634

On today's episode of Locked On Kentucky, Lance Dawe projects where former Kentucky Wildcats Shaedon Sharpe and Tyty Washington will go in the 2022 NBA Draft. Sharpe would be a great fit for a variety of teams, but is a dangerous pick because of the little amount of evaluation he has received. Someone within the top seven should take a chance on him because of his raw talent. Washington is also a bit of a question mark because of his injuries, but if he remains healthy he should be a versatile pickup for a team mid-to-late first round. Five-star Robert Dillingham is announcing his commitment tomorrow. Lance predicts who will land him, as well as wha he could do for Kentucky's backcourt next season. Finally, Lance asks the poll to engage in a Locked On Power Poll regarding Kentucky's 2023 NBA talent. Support Us By Supporting Our Sponsors!  Who could be Kentucky basketball's ceiling breaker? NBA Draft Odds for Shaedon Sharpe and Tyty Washington | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 2392

On today's episode of Locked On Kentucky, Lance Dawe discusses Kentucky basketball's ceiling for the 2022-23 season and explains why he believes transfer guard Antonio Reeves could be the player that helps the Wildcats break through that ceiling. Having a lengthy guard that can create offense while opening up shots for his teammates is deadly. If John Calipari and Oscar Tshiebwe want to make a run at a national title like they've said this offseason, they'll need one more piece like Reeves to step up and make plays. NBA Draft Odds were released by BetOnline, and Shaedon Sharpe and Tyty Washington are sitting a little too low. BetOnline also released over/under win totals for college football, and Kentucky's win total is... questionable. Support Us By Supporting Our Sponsors!  Kentucky basketball practice notes: A more modern offense coming for the Wildcats? | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 1741

On today's episode of Locked On Kentucky, Lance Dawe breaks down some of the notes that have been released on a Kentucky basketball practice. The Wildcats early starting lineup consists of Sahvir Wheeler, CJ Fredrick, Chris Livingston, Jacob Toppin, and Oscar Tshiebwe. Lance talks about what was seen at practice, and explains his excitement over Kentucky using four-out and five-out offense. Space and pace will be important for the Wildcats this upcoming season. The SEC/Big 12 Challenge has been set. Kentucky will face Kansas in Rupp Arena on January 28th. Is the lack of rotational opponents for UK boring? How will the Wildcats look in this game? Lance explains why his early prediction is a dub against the defending National Champions. Freshman point guard Adou Thiero should receive some small amount of playing time this season. What do you think? Lance asks you to go vote on a poll he released discussing Thiero's minutes. Support Us By Supporting Our Sponsors!  Five-star power forward Ron Holland takes an official visit to Kentucky, updated Rivals recruiting rankings | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 1476

On today's episode of Locked On Kentucky, Lance Dawe refrains on what Kentucky basketball guard CJ Fredrick had to say about Kentucky newcomers Antonio Reeves, Cason Wallace, and Chris Livingston. Antonio Reeves was an excellent scorer at Illinois State, and could potentially be a face of the team and a leader for the Wildcats this season. Cason Wallace is explosive, quick, and an excellent defender. Lance is really looking forward to watching Wallace play this year. Chris Livingston may not get a ton of minutes, but his physicality in the paint commands attention. Lance also talks about five-star recruit Ron Holland taking a visit to Kentucky, Lance discusses his strengths and what he's seen out of Holland's tape. Could the Wildcats land him? Rivals updated their recruiting rankings, and Kentucky target Rob Dillingham is up to No. 6 in the rankings. He's quick, he's elusive, and he's exactly what the Wildcats need at point next season. Others with UK scholarship offers include: Matas Buzelis (No. 7), Aaron Bradshaw (No. 11), Kwame Evans Jr. (No. 14), Andrej Stojakovic (No. 31) and JJ Taylor (No. 39).  Where Kentucky basketball stands with five-star Aaron Bradshaw | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 1484

On today's episode of Locked On Kentucky, Lance Dawe takes a look at five-star center Aaron Bradshaw, who just recently took a visit with the Wildcats. John Calipari really needs to nail the 2023 recruiting cycle, and picking up a potential Oscar Tshiebwe replacement in Bradshaw could be huge. Bradshaw has a raw offensive skill set but a lot of quickness for a center that stands at seven feet tall. Lance also takes a look at Shaedon Sharpe's draft stock, which if anything seems to be rising. Several major media outlets project Sharpe to go fourth overall in their latest NBA Mock Drafts. It is intriguing to see Sharpe go right behind the big three of Jabari Smith, Paolo Banchero, and Chet Holmgren despite the fact that he's never played in college. Lance praises CJ Fredrick for all of the preseason love he's been getting on social media. The SEC has officially decided on a scheduling format for men's and women's basketball. But which two permanent home and away opponents will Kentucky get? Lance explains why Tennessee and Florida may be the right answer, but not the best answer longterm.
