What A Rush Podcast with Road Warrior Animal, Joe Laurinaitis

This week’s episode of the What A Rush Podcast features an interview recorded in New Orleans with Ring of Honor star Punishment Martinez.  Punishment talks about his memories of the Road Warriors, when it finally clicked for him in wrestling, and the direction of the company he works for. Before we get to Punishment, Animal gives his thoughts on the passing of 2 great men, the legend, Bruno Sammartino and Number One Paul Jones, who Animal had many run-ins with over his career.

It’s WrestleMania season, and that makes it Hall of Fame season.  Joe and Joe welcome 2017 Hall of Famer to this week’s show, Ricky Morton!  Ricky was one half of the legendary tag team, the Rock n Roll Express, and he stops by to share stories from his time working in the same companies as Joe, along with what the business is like today.  Ricky still wrestles at the age of 62 and runs his own school down in Tennessee, check it out at http://www.rickymortononline.com.

Road Warrior Animal is back for another episode of the What A Rush Podcast with host Joe Roderick and this week the guy recap the life and times of Hall of Famer, Rick Rude.  Hear stories of how Rick and Joe first met in Minnesota, how they got their start in wrestling, and all of their run-ins during their legendary careers before Rude’s untimely death in 1999.

Animal sits down with one of his oldest friends – Barry Darsow – better known to you as Smash from Demolition.

Just a few days before heading up north to Minneapolis for Super Bowl week, Animal and Joe sit down to look back at the 1991 Royal Rumble.  Names like Hogan, Undertaker, Hart, Henning, and more are in this 30 man Rumble match with Hawk and Animal.  Tune in and watch the main event with the guys and hear stories about the men involved, and what goes into booking a Rumble match.

Raw 25 is coming up this Monday, and the Legion of Doom had their moments on the WWE’s flagship show over those years.  Animal talks about their debut and the feuds it led to, along with a few other moments they appeared on the show.  You’ll hear what Raw was like back in 1997 as it underwent a makeover, and what life was like backstage during a Monday night.

The boys go back in time to 2001 this week to talk about some of WCW’s final days as they talk about the Sin PPV. Joe was the Mystery Man in the main event and discusses what led to him joining WCW, what happened when Sid broke his leg and tells stories of many others on the roster during this time in wrestling history.
