Because of his work with microdosing Paul has been featured in Rolling Stone and Business Insider, with additional pieces in the New York Times, Playboy and Lifehacker. In June 2015 Paul began his first microdosing protocol. Immediately he noticed improvements in his energy levels, creativity and general sense of wellbeing. The impact of microdosing was so profound on his life that Paul wanted to help others understand how microdosing could be used as a tool for personal growth and understanding. Join me as we find out: • What is The Third Wave, and what were the previous two? • What is his definition of psychedelics? • What is microdosing? • What risks are involved? • His ingredients for a great recipe for life. Also, Paul will share with us: • The renewal of psychedelic research. • What would he say to people who only see the stigma behind psychedelics. • What happens in the mind and body during microdosing. • The legalities of psychedelics. • Who should avoid microdosing. It was a thrill to have Paul on the podcast to share his vision and his passion: "People are really looking for healing." "The word 'psychedelic' comes from the Greek words 'Psyche', meaning 'mind' and 'Delos', meaning 'to manifest'." "Psychedelics are medicine, and they're tools that if used responsibly and with understanding, can be very impactful." "It's not just people getting high!"  Professor Tim Noakes | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 00:36:28

Professor Noakes started researching the effects of carbohydrates, proteins and fats on humans. After his research convinced him that a high fat low carb diet is the healthiest option for many, Professor Noakes founded the Noakes Foundation in 2012. After being left frustrated by the decline of his own personal health, Professor Noakes has made it his mission to reverse this global trend. The Noakes Foundation is the catalyst for this change. It seeks to reveal what genuine, healthy nutrition looks like, and in doing so makes a difference in the lives of millions of people. Join me as I ask Tim: • How did he come to realise that his beliefs about nutrition were all wrong, and what did he do about it? • What's his advice for people who need to make a change to their diet? • What percentage of the population can reverse their Type 2 Diabetes by adopting this way of life? • How can endurance athletes continue doing the sports they love while eating this way? And Tim will share with us: • What happened to his health when he adopted this way of life. • How the Associated Dieticians of South Africa reacted. • The battle he ultimately won to clear his name. • The benefits of shaking the sugar addiction. Professor Timothy Noakes is a dear friend of mine. He has a wealth of knowledge about nutrition and has fought the fight of his life to share it with the world. "I realised within 2 hours 'oh my gosh I got it all wrong!'" "We would have loved them to go to the High Court because we would have nailed them finally and we would have exposed the collusion behind the scenes." "Never again can anyone be charged in a court for prescribing the low carb diet on the grounds that it is dangerous." "We're up against an industry that is ruthless and has no interest in your health or my health."  Christopher Ryan | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 00:57:39

Christopher Ryan is the co-author of the New York Times bestseller "Sex At Dawn: How We Mate, Why We Stray And What It Means For Modern Relationships", which has been translated into 15 languages. After receiving a BA in English and American literature in 1984, Chris spent the next two decades travelling around the world pausing in unexpected places to work at decidedly odd jobs. In his mid-thirties Chris decided to return to school to pursue Doctoral Studies in Psychology at Saybrook Graduate School in San Francisco, California. Drawing upon his multicultural experience, Chris's research focused on distinguishing the human from the cultural - first by focusing on Shamanism and ethnobotany, studying how various societies interact with altered state of consciousness and the sacred plants that provoke them, and later by looking at diverse cultural perspectives on sexuality. His doctoral dissertation was a multidisciplinary investigation of prehistoric human sexual behaviour guided by the world renowned psychologist Stanley Krippner. Chris is finishing a book for Simon and Schuster tentatively called "Civilised To Death: Why Everything's Amazing But Nobody's Happy". Join me as I ask Christopher: • His definition of what it means to be human. • What he has learnt from the ceremonies of different societies he has visited. • What was his purpose for the book 'sex at dawn'?He'll share with us: • The value of the wisdom of the past. • How we're a very sexual species. This episode is a wonderful, wide-ranging conversation, and Chris shares wisdom drawn from his manifold experiences: "What we do better than any other animal is form complex, flexible social networks. You put one man up against a bear forget about it - but you put five men up against a bear, the bear's in big trouble!" "There can't be intimacy without truth." "To look at a person as an individual is sort of a mental construct - that person is actually a complex community of organisms."
