There are 10 games down and Coach Jay is back in California, but here are two more interviews recorded live in NYC during game three of the World Chess Championship. First we hear from Roland Walker whose work with Chess.com has lead to CAPS, a new way of determining a rating strength for a player based on every move in each position of every game played rather than just using wins and losses and scoring based upon an opponent's strength. Then Coach Jay speaks with Chess Life editor Dan Lucas who recently put out a fantastic piece covering both World Chess Championship players and their first appearances in Chess Life magazine.
Coach Jay is live in New York at the World Chess Championship and got a chance to talk to Coach Brian Glover and Woman Grandmaster Olga Dolzhikova after first two rounds (both draws) between reigning world champion Magnus Carlsen and challenger Sergey Karjakin.
