Bitcoin Magazine Podcast - Debating the Nature of Bitcoin with Karim Helmy | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: Unknown

Karim Helmy of Galaxy Digital comes on to the Bitcoin Magazine Podcast to discuss one of the most interesting and deep conversations in Bitcoin. Karim has a rich history studying the Bitcoin blockchain and is an expert in mining in particular. Host Christian Keroles has very strong views into what Bitcoin is and some of them are counter to what Karim believes. Rather than debating over Twitter Christian invited Karim to join and discuss what Bitcoin really is. Christian takes the position that ultimately bitcoin is a network of geographically distributed and computers maintaining constant consensus. Karim takes the position that while that does exist, ultimately it is the people and agreement from people that defines what Bitcoin is. This is a very nuanced debate and is at the route of many other philosophical and design disagreements in the greater crypto space. Bitcoiners', what do you think? Is Bitcoin defined by hardware and software or by humans or by something else entirely? Tweet at CK, Karim, and Bitcoin Magazine with your take on what Bitcoin really is.  Bitcoin Magazine Podcast - Bitcoin in Congress with Warren Davidson | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: Unknown

On this episode of the Bitcoin Magazine Podcast, host Christian Keroles sits down with Congressman Warren Davidson of Ohio! Congressman Davidson burst into the Bitcoin scene in 2019 when in a congressional hearing he mentioned the difference between Bitcoin and 'œshitcoins' officially putting the term Shitcoin in the official congressional record. Warren has a history in the military and then as an entrepreneur which has greatly shaped his world view and his understanding of the current fiat monetary and banking system. Congressman Davidson recognizes the importance of sound money in a free society and why Bitcoin is well aligned with American values. Congressman Davidson is on the financial services committee in congress and is working hard to create more regulatory clarity for crypto in general in an effort to make America as competitive as possible for Bitcoin businesses to thrive. Congressman Davidson is acutely aware of how difficult it is today for a Bitcoin business to operate in the United States because of the lack of clarity and the purposely negligent attitude from the SEC regarding a Bitcoin ETF. Davidson is the coauthor of the Token Taxonomy Act which is supposed to bring an enormous amount of clarity and recognition of crypto to the US legal system. The act is still in early stages and Warren is fighting to get it the attention that it deserves. Please enjoy this wide ranging and fascinating conversation with Congressman Warren Davidson.

Bitcoin Audible - Check Your Financial Privilege [Alex Gladstein] | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: Unknown

"only 13% of our planet's population is born into the dollar, euro, Japanese yen, British pound, Australian dollar, Canadian dollar or Swiss Franc. The other 87% are born into autocracy or considerably less trustworthy currencies. 4.3 billion people live under authoritarianism, and 1.2 billion people live under double- or triple-digit inflation." - Alex Gladstein Another brilliant piece from Alex Gladstein and Bitcoin Magazine, this one on the incredible privilege of those inside the dollar bubble, looking out and claiming Bitcoin is useless or is bad for the world. They stand like hypocrites living without any of the problems that Bitcoin is specifically designed to fix, and is fixing. Three stories of those who live and experience the real world, give us a very different view of Bitcoin, & why it is critical for all of our futures that we stand behind it and see it succeed.

Bitcoin Audible - Bitcoin is a Trojan Horse for Freedom [Alex Gladstein] | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: Unknown

'œTheir goals were to separate money from governments and corporations, check the growth of the global surveillance state, and preserve human rights in an increasingly digital age. Satoshi Nakamoto's greatest trick was to animate these aspirations into something that looks like and functions as digital gold.' - Alex Gladstein Another brilliant piece from Gladstein on why the Number Go Up technology is just the facade on the Freedom Go Up foundation of Bitcoin. As corporations, banks, & even governments adopt Bitcoin out of their own self-interest, they will unknowingly be stripping themselves of the asymmetry of power they currently hold over money. By transforming greed into freedom, Bitcoin will liberate the world.
