Lights, Camera, Party! – Quick Thoughts | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 0:00

Platform - Playstation 3 : PS Move Price $29.99 Release Date: August 28, 2012 Released By: Frima Studios Looking for a party game for the family? Youve found a contender. Lights, Camera, Party is a collection of 50 mini games wrapped in a creative package. There are 3 different modes but we can get into that shortly. With this being a Move title a grasp of the basic move setting will help the players. This game is rated E10 for crude humor, however, Id like to offer some clarification. The crude humor is more toilet humor, dad character picks his nose, a monkey sitting on the toilet, etc. Nothing to brash.  Story Mode: Lights, Camera, Party! is broken down into three modes, Challenge, Story, and Party. The Story, while thin, is enough to grab your (or your childrens) attention and provide a backdrop for the games. We join the Funzini family at they are thrust into a new game show on Ape TV. One of the unique things about Lights, Camera, Party! is how fa 2st paced it is. Most of the mini games are completed in 10-15 seconds. This means you can complete a Story game with 2 players in roughly 20 minutes. Story mode supports 2-4 players, but you only need 1 Move controller as you take turns. Challenge Mode: In this mode you play, single player, though any of the 50 mini games that you have unlocked through the story mode. Through this mode one can work on any of the mini games that are giving them difficulties. Party Mode - There are three options in Party mode, Survival, Alien Egg, and Lottery. Survival (2-8) is straight forward. Players participate and it eliminates the lowest players as you progress until you are left with you winner. Alien Egg (2-8) combines hot potato with mini games. It take a more random approach to picking whos turn it is. Lottery (2-4) is a big different. Each player is given a lottery ticket. Each mini game you successfully complete earns you another lottery ticket. At the end of the rounds a winning ticket is drawn and any matching symbols you have earn you points. Game play - If you are looking for a party game that the entire family can enjoy, this is a great entry into a genre that is overlooked by most publishers. The mini games are varied and encompass many of the options the Move controller gives a player. You have to rev it like a motor cycle. Pound your chest like King Kong. Match colors, using the orb on top of the remote. Yelling at the mic in your Playstation Eye, and many many other options. The game also has 3 difficulty modes to make it more approachable. Replay Ability - Aside from the various mini games there are 200 awards to unlock in the Hall of Fame. Also, there are local leaderboards for every board for those competative brothers and sisters. This game is a welcome addition to any family game night. Dont forget to brush up on your skills in the Challenge section. Some of the games can take a try or two to get the hang of, however the variety of the mini games is refreshing as well. Most party games give you a very shallow pool of options. So if you looking for a game for the entire family to enjoy, give it a look below. LCP_Trailer
