It’s easy to see the blessings in our lives when we’re on the mountaintop. But what about when we’re down in the valley? In this sermon, Pastor Kevin Gerald, Lead Pastor of Champions Centre in Seattle, WA, teaches us how to see all aspects of our lives through the lens of God’s favor.
“God will supply all your needs” – it makes a nice bumper sticker, but it doesn’t change the fact that there are still unmet needs in all our lives. What if the secret to being content has less to do with getting what we need and more to do with recognizing the supply we’re given?
It can be hard to believe at times, but God wants you to win. So why does it feel like so often we lose? Is it a shortage of provision? Our support system? Our lack of ability? Or perhaps it's something even more personal.
Every year it seems like making New Year’s resolutions results in unmet expectations and disappointment. Why is it so difficult to grow? And how do we challenge ourselves to push further while also celebrating how far we’ve come?
There's so much more God wants for us than to just get through each year and move on to the next. But what does it look like to transition well? And what kind of faith do we need in order to cross over while not forgetting where we came from?
For most of us, Christmas is a chaotic season – a holiday collision of our perfect expectations and our actual experience. How can embracing the chaos of Christmas help us understand the true context of our relationship with Christ?
Giving back to God should be a time of celebration, thanking Him for all He has done for us and returning to Him a portion of what He's given us. So why is it so hard to be generous? What internal conflicts keep us from faithfully trusting God with our finances, and how do we overcome them?
Most things in life have well-established value. We know what it costs and we often compare ourselves by how much of it we have. But what about God? How do we determine His worth to us and how do we show it?
We are not naturally grateful – it's something we have to be taught. We learn to say thank you as children, but is there more to gratitude? And how does our gratefulness reflect our view of who God is in our lives?
'Thank you' is much more than something we say – gratitude is something we show. In our lives, it can be very easy to prioritize other things over generosity, but in this sermon from Blakeney Campus Pastor Joel Delph, we discover there is a connection between what we give out, and what God is able to fill up.
God says in scripture that He will meet all our needs, but for many of us that's hard to believe. If He is a great giver with unlimited supply, why do we still feel empty? What is standing between us and the flow of God's favor in our lives?
Many of us spend our lives trying to get more, make more, and gain more, but still struggle with a lack of fulfillment. How can we find more significance? What should we do with all God’s given us?
Even as Christians, we have haunted hearts. We still struggle with many of the same issues and fears that we did before we met Jesus. So how do we handle these ghosts that hide in our hearts and keep us from experiencing true freedom from our fears?
When it comes to determining self worth, why do we find it nearly impossible to measure up to our own expectations? Discover how a God who is able to do immeasurably more can drastically affect the way we evaluate our own lives.
It's easy to thank God when we feel blessed – but when life gets hard, praising God can seem like the last thing we want to do. How do we shift our perspective in the face of our greatest struggles?
