Warbird Radio Presents – The Ed Cottrell Story – Hosted by John Mollison | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: Unknown

WARBIRD RADIO – The United States’ largest and most bloody battle of WWII was the Battle of the Bulge.  It began on December 16, 1944 and ran through January of the next year and resulted in as many as 180,000 casualties for both sides and as many as 3,000 innocent civilians lost their lives, too.  It was “war” at its text-book definition of ugly. However; there was a moment, albeit brief, that reminds history human nature doesn’t always follow the path of brutality.  On December 17,  Ed Cottrell, a P-47 pilot on the hunt for German Panzers, came face to face with his enemy, listen in as the man describes a moment of mercy he has never forgotten.  Neither will you… Join host John Mollison for this special presentation!  Download this episode by pressing the play button below!
