Sermon titled "Fantasy, Tolkien, and Mystic Flight, part 2" given on Tuesday January 28, 2014. Size: 24.4 MB; duration: 71:02. Gnosticism, one of the oldest errors to attack the Church, is very much alive today and doing incredible damage. One of the areas in which the errors of gnosticism affects us today is through the genre of Fantasy literature. It's nearly impossible to live in the modern Western world and not unconsciously absorb some of the many errors active in the world today. The first step to freeing ourselves of those errors is to recognize them... then act in an authentically Catholic manner.

(2014-01-26) The Battle Between Two Kinds of Contemplatives | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 25:54

Sermon titled "The Battle Between Two Kinds of Contemplatives" given on Sunday January 26, 2014. Size: 8.9 MB; duration: 25:54. The battle today is between two contemplatives: the contemplatives of God and the contemplatives of the devil. Those that strive to be God's contemplatives become like the Centurion of the Gospel: of great faith, having control over their body and soul, saying to their passions do this, and they do it, or go and they go and come and they come. Such souls are only able to reach such a state by subordinating reason to God and the passions to reason. God answers their prayers and works miracles for them and enlightens them. These are the Saints. On the other hand, there are those who seek enlightenment and answer to prayers apart from God's Holy Church... and they find it. What is amazing is that many many things of our present culture were pioneered and presaged in the visions and writings of these, the devil's contemplatives. Among them are the modern notions of cosmology and evolution as well as many other things. To overcome these insidious ideas so popular today, we must strive to become Centurions and follow the Centurions that have preceded us.

 (2014-01-19) Christendom and the Camel | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 15:14

Sermon titled "Christendom and the Camel" given on Sunday January 19, 2014. Size: 5.2 MB; duration: 15:14. Christendom can be likened to a camel that once upon a time drank in the fresh waters flowing from the side of Christ... but now the camel has been denied access to its Master and King and is drying up. Let us turn to Our Lady and plead for help, that Her Immaculate Heart may triumph and the camel once again be given refreshment.

(2014-01-12) Obedience and Humility Make Holy Families | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 23:12

Sermon titled "Obedience and Humility Make Holy Families" given on Sunday January 12, 2014. Size: 8 MB; duration: 23:12. In the 19th century, Saint John Vianney said: "The reason our times are so irreligious is on account of un-Christian families." Tomorrow's priets, bishops and religious come from today's families: if we want to change the world we must raise up our children in holiness. Obedience and humility are the keys to restoring Christian order in the lives of families; Jesus, Mary and Joseph show us the way by their example, and help us by their influence.

 (2014-01-12) The Father's Business is Obedience | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 19:17

Sermon titled "The Father's Business is Obedience" given on Sunday January 12, 2014. Size: 6.6 MB; duration: 19:17. The words in Gospel of the Finding of Jesus in the Temple are the first we hear from His Majesty, the Word Incarnate, Our Lord Jesus Christ. He said He must be about the Father's business. What is the Father's business but obedience. It is, in a certain sense, the mother of all virtues. It stands at the head of the book, says King David. Obedience is what makes Faith possible since, in order to believe, first hear the voice of God and respond to it. Then Faith, the foundation of all virtues is given. Obedience, that is, Blessed Mary's fiat, made the Holy Family possible. The obedience of Saint Joseph kept the family together. Obedience is a powerful thing. It is the Father's business and should be ours too.

(2014-01-11) The Sweet Cross of Matrimony | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 19:56

Sermon titled "The Sweet Cross of Matrimony" given on Saturday January 11, 2014. Size: 6.8 MB; duration: 19:56.

(2014-01-06) We Have No King But Herod | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 17:18

Sermon titled "We Have No King But Herod" given on Monday January 6, 2014. Size: 5.9 MB; duration: 17:18. Saint Vincent Ferrer says that when the people of Jerusalem heard the three kings asking about a new born King of the Jews, they responded, "We have no king but Herod." Does this not make sense given what the same people would later say, "We have no king but Caesar"? This very worldly mentality is very much alive today such that few on earth would ever recognize the only true and universal king is Christ Jesus. Without Christ being his king, man lives in fear, suspicion, instability and death. How the three kings found and adored the Infant King is a model for how we too can deal with these prevailing evils.

(2014-01-05) Cults of Personality and the Holy Name of Jesus | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 15:33

Sermon titled "Cults of Personality and the Holy Name of Jesus" given on Sunday January 5, 2014. Size: 5.3 MB; duration: 15:33. Review of the history of Jim Jones as a typical example of a cult leader who governs his followers by the force of his personality. Leaders of cults of personality promise paradise on earth, and require their subjects to pay them divine honors; but only one Personality deserves divine honors, and it is only by His Name, the name of Jesus Christ, that men are to be saved. In our time, we have been cursed by one cult leader after another, and so emotionally inundated by propaganda that manipulates our emotions that we have never at any time in history been more vulnerable and ripe for the coming of the Man of Sin than we are right now. We must cling to Jesus Christ, and look to no other leader for salvation.
