As with the United States the Germans saw changes to their choice in main battle rifle (MBR) between 1918 and 1938. Even during the Second World War the Germans changed horses adopting variation of their MBR including the second semi-auto service rifle of the war. Despite the high quality of all the rifles fielded by the German military in both conflicts not many survive today in modern circulation.

The British empire was once the largest nation on the planet. One small island nation and the weapons of it's army were to spread to every reach of the empire. of all of these the Enfield is one of the most prolific of weapons found through the world. from 1895 until 1957 this rifle was the main battle implement of the British infantry and even today they are being used through the remnant of that once great empire. Today we look at how this weapon brought the empire into the 20th century.
