The markets were moving in mixed fashion as investors waited for the release of the FOMC meeting minutes, to see if there might be any clues of possible stimulus from the US Federal Reserve. The overnight markets were mixed coming into the open as Asia closed lower, but Europe was moving higher on the ratification of a new bailout program for Spanish banks. With no major news on tap to move the markets, we planned on sideways moving conditions, and waited patiently for a few nice opportunities. The overnight markets were all moving lower on negative sentiment from last Friday's lackluster US employment data, and renewed concerns over the euro zone debt crisis. As a result, we expected the the US trading session to show us sideways moving markets, and some potentially nice scalping opportunities. With yesterday's rate cuts by the Chinese and European Central Bank failing to impress investors, the overnight markets were moving lower as we approached the open of the US trading session. Then the US employment numbers from June were released, and though they were better than last month, they fell short of expectations, and the sell off accelerated.
