Conversations with Dog

Kari's four month old border collie has been car sick from the moment she brought him home. She tried to de-sensitise him with training ever since, but now he starts reacting to when she brings out the leash. Can this be changed? What causes car sickness? What would it take to resolve this for her dog?

So many people desire to assist with animal rescue and make a difference in the world of animals. And there are some that are using this as a possibility to abuse the animals. How can you know the difference? What might be required for you to look at before supporting a rescue organization? 

A lot of us think that we train our dogs and that is it. Why should we reinforce things that oour dogs already know?? What is the value of that? And what about beyond training? Do we need to reinforce that as well?? What actually is reuired? And how much every day?

Asking our animals for something is mostly not what we do. We either expect them to do what we want based on our ideas, or the training we did, or the previous dog we had, but we never actually ask them, or do we? How often is the demand we have also combined with frustration, or anger because we are not achieving what we are looking for? Is there a different possibility? Is there a difference between askingand  demanding? And what does all that look like in the animal world?

If your dog barks all the time and does not stop after getting going, is there a way to change that? And how? Are there tricks to this?? What might be a possibility?

Statistics say that the amount of euthanized animals in shelters is less then what people are buying from backyard breeders and puppy mills.  Yet people seem to like to get a puppy from a questionable source rather than out of the shelter!
