Many of us have been on this journey a low-fi road trip to Baja where everything you need can be zipped up in your board bag. We escape the harried pace of life in The States and trade it for a nomadic adventure filled with surfing, fishing, exploring, and playing guitars around the campfire. Grey Whale Sessions is a 30 minute film following the story of four surfers and artists as they journey through Baja, each contributing something special. G. Love wrote and performed the film's soundtrack on-location. Tyler Warren created the film's artwork and surfed beautifully. Chris Christenson shaped his 12,000th board for the trip. And Keith Malloy drew new lines on a Pacific canvas.

Surf Cult California is a west coast journey in search of the contemporary underground longboard movement. The surfing lifestyle that was crafted on the beaches of California in the 50s is revisited today. Surf Cult California is an insightful look into the stylists, the music and the art of today's longboarding culture. Our story begins with traditional longboard San Diego surfer Mitch Abshire loading his classic 9' 6" surfboard, which was designed over a half century ago, into his van. He firmly believes that surfing in the 50's was the last real counter culture. He reflects on a time past when surfers were living out of their cars, driving the coast with no money and looking for an adventure. A time when surfers did not care what anybody thought of them, they were the real outcasts of society. Fast-forward fifty years to now and surfing has sold out. The sport has become completely commercial there is sponsorship, massive images on billboards, and global competition. Basically, Mitch is sick of it. So he sets out in search of those who live and breath today's underground lifestyle -a counter culture scene of musicians, hot rodders, and artists. From Santa Cruz's CJ Nelson, Malibu's Scott Stopnik and to Orange County's Alex Knost, these are the guys who are the direct descendants of the surfing derelicts of the 50's, and they are quickly reclaiming their heritage. Surf Cult California is a little story about crusin' in a van up the coast and hanging out with surfers who live to surf... Come along for the glide.

Hot Buttered Soul was a revolutionary four track LP released by Isaac Hayes and the Bar-Kays in 1969. A few months later, 20-ear-old Terry Fitzgerald, fresh from a Hawaiian winter season and a big fan of funk and soul rhythms, decided to borrow the name for his surfboard company. But all three words didn't quite fit on the rainbow sash logo. Thus Hot Buttered Surfboards were born -and with it one of surfing's true originals. But the third word never went missing. Instead it's lived in the handmade, hand-painted HB surfboards and the styles that arose from riding them, over three decades, in the best surf on the planet. Hot Buttered Soul: The Movie draws on a deep well of surf cinema heritage to present the surfing of the HB extended family. Choice selections from HB's "Sultans of Speed" series, along with surf flick classics Morning of the Earth, A Winter's Tale, Fantasea, Storm Riders and more, are expertly intercut by editor Mick Waters, with interviews and commentary from Andrew Kidman and Derek Hynd. Wherever they went, "Sultans" trips always had the knack of scoring amazing waves. Viewers will be stunned by the NSW north coast sessions of '88, when in an outrageous 10 day binge, Poto, Simon Law, Cattle and Deaney surfed all the classic pointbreaks at their maximum size and shape. They'll also freak at Joel's hair-raising couple of bombs at a terrifying Irish reefbreak, and wallow in the pleasure of perfect Periscope Point on Sumbawa, Indonesia, before the surf camps arrived. Then the movie swings to a down home sequence that sees Terry, Kye and Joel head back to Jeffreys Bay on a family trip with some timeless TF equipment, including Driftas and wing pin single fins, and ride 'em into the ground at J-Bay and the rarely glimpsed Cape St Francis. Yet underlying at all is the still-astonishingly fresh lines and torquing style of TF in the 1970s, blowing away the world at Jeffreys, Rocky Point, Uluwatu and various lesser known locations. It's a sublime treat watching today's power surfing at its moment of invention. The unique soundtrack, featuring ex Tamam Shud guitarist Tim Gaze in front of a six piece band, was written, practiced, and finally recorded as a single 59-inute free-flowing piece, in sync with the movie's final cut. Stylemasters 2 documents the height of performance single fin surfing during the winter of 1980-81 on Oahus North Shore. During this time surfers like Dane Kealoha, Bobby Owens, Buttons, PT, Cheyne Horan, Ian Cairns, Shaun Tomson, the Hawaiian crew, other international players and even a few new wave Californians were taking surfing to the next level. This marks the final season before the tri-fin became the pro board design of choice. Greg Weaver and Spyder Wills were on the scene, this time with a Super 8 Sound rig to record the sights and sounds of the surfing world's proving grounds.
