GFY begins it's official run in this Gratcast After two years of backdoor deals and shady shenanigans, our very own resident Godfather Kris tells his personal Fredo to GFH. We recap our very first ever Gratfest and how the blood wrestling went.  The Man vs. Bear match never came to fruition, but we did have a few ladies and a fella in his briefs get it on the blood wrestling pit. Zombies are cult-fabulous we can all agree, but bad indie Zombie films are starting to over run us like a horde from 'I Am Legend'. Video Gratcast and Blood Wrestling

Make Way for The Bad Guy | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 31:15

Kris laments the lack of friendship/loyalty/business ethics. This week on Gratcast Kris, Will, and Andrea were welcomed into the home of former "scream queen" Felissa Rose and disgraced CKY rocker Deron Miller.  Of course, the only reason we were invited was because they wanted something from us.  We were treated like the cute little 'flavors of the month' as it was very obvious, the entire time, that we will only be in their good graces for as long as they Kris has the midas touch.  While we were at Felissa Rose and Derron Miller's enjoying a Memorial Day picnic we were requested to film Deron Miller playing new material from his upcoming World Under Blood release. Will watched Scarface for the first time in his life, and explains what took so long and how the movie will change his perception moving forward. Will even sees the parallels between Tony Montoya and Kris Hulbert.  We also go over the latest news in regards to the plan to release The Perfect House as the first movie ever to premiere on facebook. The future of social media and technology is happening right now!

Scams, Raptures and Technology Flaws | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 1:01:43

Our most technologically successful Gratcast yet! Will, Kris and this week's special gratcast guest, Andrea Vahl talk about their own Hollywood stories as writers, directors, and actors. Will explains what brought him to Hollywood. Andrea talks about her lifelong aspirations in acting and Kris reveals he never really considered entertainment and storytelling as a real option in blue collar Buffalo. We recap last week's trip to Las Vegas and The Sci-Fi Center where we held a special screening of our horror film The Perfect House. It was a fun night that did have a few hiccups and strange characters.  One of the former members of the team who was given a most generous opportunity got out of line and created an unfortunate scene during the screening. After dodging an extortion attempt for the damaged rental car, we blast Alamo Rent-a-car like the shady scamsters they are. We shower praise on Justin Timberlake and especially his appearance on last weekend's Saturday Night Live. We get religious and talk about the upcoming Rapture and the ridiculous ignorance it takes to stamp a "guarantee" on it.  Will the The Return to The Perfect House Tour be getting it's own reality T.V. show?  You got Bird Shit on Today | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 27:16

Welcome to episode 14 of Gratcast - our first using Ustream! Will is back for this weeks Gratcast and Andrea is securely sealed back in her closet, and Kris is finally finished nailing the door shut. Will and Kris nearly destroy Gratwick's entire fleet of vehicles this week while simultaneously working both on-set and on planning for the cross country tour. A tour that officially has a name 'The Return to The Perfect House Tour' and some target cities. The week that was, for Will and Kris, includes two new sites helping promote The Perfect House. We discuss and preview the upcoming Las Vegas show. We even fell into an opportunity to pitch a reality show following our journey around the country. But first we must figure out what a sizzle reel is and how to make one.   On this week's Hollywood corner the boys get deep as Kris asks Will what he learned from his latest production. Will in return asks Kris about his long term plans in the industry. We continue to experiment with technology as we try to bring Gratcast into the world of video podcasts. This week we set up a Ustream account to broadcast our episodes live online while we record the audio. Our Ustream channel will also host all of our live videos from the upcoming tour.  Keep stickin my ass in the air, what does it take to get stuck? | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 32:48

Producer/Actress Andrea Vahl subs for Will on this weeks Gratcast. We discuss our thoughts on the John Travolta film "From Paris with Love."  Here is a hint, Kris deems it one of the worst films ever made and a prime example of what happens when a bunch of mercenaries think films are made from a formula.   All the pieces are in place for a high impact film except for one thing - a soul.  Not one person involved with this film saw it as anything more than a paycheck and it shows in every single frame. We discuss the week that was along with updates on a change in time for the Las Vegas show and more on the status of our plans for a major cross country tour to promote the horror film The Perfect House.  We're looking for sponsors and investors to pull off a full scale marketing campaign. We revive our Gratcast segment about making it in Hollywood as Andrea and Kris discuss independent filmmaking and the comparisons between pre and post production pressures and lessons learned along the way.

Back to the Beginning but Farther Ahead | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 17:38

Our first episode of Gratcast back from the road and home in Los Angeles. We recap where we've been and our plans for where we're going.  When we planned the 6-city mini tour to test audience reactions to our horror film The Perfect House we were prepared to add cities based on extremely positive reactions. But we never caught the momentum we were planning on when we decided on 6 specific cities.   The crucial part of the plan was centered around a several hundred seat screening at our first city and the hope that positive word of mouth would spread from there.  We had a great screening, but the room could only hold 50 or so, so we were behind the 8-ball right from the start. What we did discover during the mini tour was that the reaction from the audiences we did have were overwhelmingly positive. We took some knocks, but our confidence that we had something special still grew.   When we returned we had learned one very clear lesson. We had to find a way to get back out on the road inspiring fans and audiences to spread the word.

A mile high and miles away – Gratcast at Denver Starfest | File Type: audio/x-m4a | Duration: 18:51

Live update from the six city mini tour. We take a break from the excitement of our very first convention, the Denver Starfest, to relax in our hotel room and recap the past few days. We originally thought our first screening was going to be in the main theater, but other than that the first screening went well.   We have another one coming up tomorrow, maybe even our first panel. Jonathan Tiersten celebrated the start of Starfest with his hit single 'In the Air' from the sound track of 'The Perfect House'. Monday night we head to Aurora, Colorado for a screening at the Cinema Grill. Videos and Photos from Denver Starfest [fbvinyl id=10150153828332587]

Putting the Grass Back in Grassroots | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 1:19:28

Why we don't want 200 million Dollars We have amended the plan once again. We're taking our grassroots tour TO THE GRASS. One way or another we are determined to take The Perfect House on a cross country tour. Even if it means guerilla style from backyard to backyard across the country. Kris and guest Lance Malbon argue over Will, talk about spider-man and batman, and how they'd turn down a 200 million dollar feature film budget if someone begged them to take it.  We also debate the paths not taken as Lance has put his eggs in the basket of the corporate ladder, while Gratwick takes the grassroots do it yourself approach toward our climb to the top. Special guest: LANCE MALBON - good friend and fellow indie filmmaker who has worked for several years as a production assistant for David Fincher.
