In this last regular episode of the year, before next week's DeuceGiving and the Christmas season gets going, Mikey, Dave and #TwitterlessDrEarl set up a fictitious movie studio in the vein of classic movie studios that would sign actors to mega deals. Thus our first of many Draft Episodes kick off.
It's a few days past Veteran's Day but it's always a good time to salute the men and women in the armed forces! So first, the Deucecast crew says "Thank you for EVERYTHING you do for our freedom!" Without the freedom, this podcast wouldn't continually be able to churn out movie mediocrity every single week!
Another month, with Halloween over and Thanksgiving on the way, it's time for the November ReFlicktions! Dave, Mikey, and #TwitterlessDrEarl talk about all the movies they've seen in the last several weeks. Amongst the discussions, Mikey brings back Cage Unleashed, Dave hits more Baumbach, and Dr. Earl gets pretentious with comic book documentaries and new school horror.
This is Halloween, This is Halloween, Halloween, Halloween! Mikey and Dave have sent off #TwitterlessDrEarl to another country for medical missions, but bring in a Villains expert... Jeremy Burgess, star of the reality show The Burgeler, to discuss some of the best movie bad guys around.
Finally crossing over the 400 mark, the Deucecast Movie Show rolls into Episode 401 with the second half of the Virtual Film Festival, this time with selections from RetroJoe, Remodeling Clay, Amish Novotny and the Pride of TyTy Georgia, both Ryfuns, plus the rest of Dave's, Mikey's, and #TwitterlessDrEarl's picks.
The Deucecast Movie Show is proud to do what only a few people thought -- or cared -- they could do... hit Episode 400. After 399 shows of film mediocrity (with some flashes of brilliance: see "Hoyle, KB"), the 400th show begins.
It's the episode before the big episode, the ReFlicktions before the Celebration of Mikey, Dave, and #TwitterlessDrEarl at 400! But first, all the movies seen in the last month or so, both old and new and in the middle. Discussions on racism in New York... Rambo films... more Rich Mullins... Dave reading John Grisham... Mikey's Nic Cage Kiss flick... an insane magical documentary... Elle Yes!!... Michael Mann's Vice... and the brouhaha around The Joker.
It's a another expedition into awesome with Mikey and Dave and #TwitterlessDrEarl, as they get closer to the epic episode 400... but first, #398! On tap this episode, it's a little secret... Spy Films. Clay Shaver calls in from the Mitt in Michigan, discussing the weather, food, and a little Michigan food lore. Plus, a little prognostication on the Michigan football season.
Sometimes the Deucecast guys -- Mikey and Dave -- like to try to class the place up by bringing in orthopedic surgeon and Nobel Prize for Medicine Nominee #TwitterlessDr Earl... and when that doesn't work, they bring in someone actually important.
The road to 400 hits the final stretch as Dave, Mikey & #TwitterlessDrEarl look to discuss and review the new and old films they've seen in the last several weeks, in the September 2019 edition of ReFlicktions.
Sometimes you just need family, and when its the family in the movies, its even better. Mikey, Dave and #TwitterlessDrEarl tackle the topic of relatives in movies... but to get an expert word on it, two people who excel at being father and son -- Scotty Ryfun and Garrison, the Spawn of Ryfun, also known as the Pride of Tifton Georgia!
Football has started, the doldrums of the August cinema, and other than the 110 degree weather, Fall is in the air. And Mikey, Dave and #TwitterlessDrEarl are in the Deucecast Studio to share all the great films coming in the next few months.
Days after D23 -- and the assurance that the Deucecast crew's predictions came true -- what better way to follow up than for Mikey and Dave to bring in more epic guests. Of course #TwitterlessDrEarl... but then, the return of two of our favorites.
Not only are the Deucecast Movie Show hosts Mikey and Dave (and #TwitterlessDrEarl too!) huge movie fans... but also Disney fans too. And in a rare episode that is quite timely, the every-other-year huge Disney convention D23 happens this weekend.
Another edition of The Deucecast Movie Show brings in Mikey and Dave, #TwitterlessDrEarl over in the pretentious corner, and for the second show in a row -- before his Gulag Weekend Pass expires, Pinky is back in the studio. With the release of "Once Upon a Time in Hollywood", the guys do a deep dive into Tarantino's films, ranking them one by one on their own top ten lists.
