It's Jantiquity, our first ever month dedicated to swords and/or sandals. We're kicking it off with the 2000 Best Picture winner, Gladiator. The story of a poor tiger who gets kidnapped and forced to fight in the coliseum, only to lose to a former war general. Such a tragedy.

Read it and Weep used to be a podcast about bad books but mostly now it's a podcast about good movies. Whatever the topic, we use it to talk about ourselves and each other and it's usually kinda funny.

Grizzmass continues with our annual holiday tradition: a cheezy made-for-tv Christmas romance. This year, we're watching The Spirit of Christmas AKA Christmas Ghost, the film about a hard working attorney who falls in love the a B&B ghost. It's not the best movie, but it sure is interesting. Why is this ghost wearing Old Navy sweaters? If a guy and his fiance are both dead, is it technically cheating to sleep with him? So many questions. But mostly, just weird delight over Christmas Ghost.

It's the holiday season again (and a happy Grizzmass to you!), and this year we took our first swing at celebrating Hanukkah. Well, it turns out there aren't a lot of great Hanukkah movies, as we discovered when we watched the Adam Sandler animated film Eight Crazy Nights. Not only is it a terrible film with strong racist and transphobic tendencies, it's also not about Hanukkah at all. Oops. Also sorry we didn't talk more about pot this week.

Okay, I know this isn't a Grizzmass episode. But it's the top voted on topic by the Meat Buddies and just narrowly missed Wet Month and The Rocktober. Somehow it snuck into the month holiday month. And it is a vacation from using your brain. In this weirdo remake, The Rock is a lifeguard who thinks he's a spy or cop, and uses the power of his smile and homophobic jokes to stop a drug smuggler on the beach. All while Zac Efron and a Josh Gad-type sexually harass women in impractical swimwear.

I was a finalist at the Seattle International Comedy Competition, so during the last couple days he gathered the other four finalists and they watched Sleepless in Seattle! It was incredibly fun. These guys are so funny, and this was the most time we'd spent all month just hanging out. And I think you'll really like the results.

This week, we sat down with Tim Batt and Guy Montgomery from The Worst Idea of All Time to 2015 Zac Efron picture We Are Your Friends. Tim and Guy have seen it 57 times, which seems unpleasant. We Are Your Friends is about a young Zac Efron, a charming but bland LA disc jockey trying to make it big by writing a single successful song. Along the way he ruins some lives, Squirrel dies for no reason, and he wears very large headphones even when exercising.

As we continue to celebrate #Crossovember by chatting with our favorite podcasters, we're also breaking new ground on the show. We asked comedian Myq Kaplan what he wanted to talk about and he said his favorite podcast (besides ours and his), Savage Lovecast. And even though we've never talked about a podcast besides our own, we decided it would be great fun. And it was!

All month we're hanging out with our favorite podcasters. To start out, we sat down with Greg and Sarah from Funemployment Radio about Pump Up The Volume, the movie about a young Christian Slater hosting a pirate radio show that really touches people. It was the anthem to Funemployment's early days which, like ours, were over 8 years ago. Happy #Crossovember, everybody! Check out Greg & Sarah live every weekday.

In the early 80s but with a heavy 70s hangover, Jim Henson and Home Box Office produced a kids show unlike any other. People live in the garage, Fraggles live in the wall, Doozers live among the Fraggles, and Gorgs outside the rocks. And somehow, they're all dumb. Most of us don't have a big childhood dedication to Fraggle Rock but we welcomed first time guest, comedian Phoebe Bottoms, who trained with Jim Henson as a Muppeteer! For real!

If you don't like The Rock as a singing, dancing demigod, go fish. Because that's what we've got in this absolutely delightful Disney animated film. And the movie was so much fun we packed our show with FIVE HOSTS and if that isn't enough, a special guest appearance for Ezra's son, AKA the reason Ezra has seen this film hundreds of times. This is easily one of the most fun episodes we've ever done. Golly, I love #TheRocktober.

Everybody who reads Jules Verne assumes that he's not a brilliant science fiction writer but rather just an adequate journalist. He merely wrote down in excruciating detail a world that exists just off the cost of Palau. Well, at least that's what Peeta from Hunger Games and his grandfather Michael Caine assume, which is what leads them to a Mysterious Island along with Peeta's new stepfather The Rock. They go on a deeply boring adventure.

Listen up you roody poo candy ass. Here's the truth: brand new co-host Anthony Lopez loves wrestling. While the rest of the team has literally never seen a match. So what else could we do to kick-off #TheRocktober but to learn about our man Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson's early career and have Anthony explain wrestling to us.
