I wasn't a very strong chemistry student, in fact, until Mr. Jamrozy's Earth Science class, I wasn't too hip on the sciences in general. When you're 5 years old, "doing the right thing" has a bit of a stick behind it. If you do the wrong thing, you get the proverbial rolled up newspaper, and move on to another day. When we become adults, in particular in our late thirties with 5 year olds of our own, you'd think that "doing the right thing" would be come easier - a more straight-forward experience. In 2002, Steven Spielberg directed a movie called "Minority Report." While it was set in the future, it dealt with a variety of topics, both fantastic but REAL. Identity, the concept of using of people as tools, the abundance of power inside of law enforcement, and of course MURDER. There is a single point inside that movie that still, to this day makes their hair on the back of my neck stand on end - that makes my eyes cast wide open, causes my palms to open in prep for zinging out of my chair to the nearest save haven -- That puts me on the edge of my seat in preparation for the next scene... Pace has been the cornerstone for great entertainment - forever. Give me a story that's a bit thin, and outstanding pace, and I'll give you something to remember.
